Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would you please confirm if this is compatible with the new 70-200 GM II?

A: Yes this should be compatible with the newer version.

Q: 2. Is this battery operated?

A: No, this is powered by the camera.

Q: 3. This will control the shutter speed. Are you able to control the lens aperture too? Thank you.

A: Unfortunately, aperture control is not available when using the Sony RM-VPR1.

Q: 4. Is there an adapter to make it usable for BMCC as well? I have both BMCC and BMPCC, it would be great to have a battery system that can go between 2 cameras.

A: I actually had to get my ends changed for my BMPCC. A local shop swapped my wall charger end (straight) with the battery pack (right angle) as far as the bmcc I think you may need to cal indipro or a specialized cable maker to make you an adapter.

Q: 5. Is the shutter a two-step button, like the camera's shutter?

A: Yes. I use it to half press to bring up manual focus

Q: 6. Will this remote work with sony A7?

A: Yes!

Q: 7. Will the Vello RCC-02 work on a EM 1?

A: No and no. There are (were) two versions of the Vello RCC-02; one with a 2.5mm jack for the receiver and RCC-02-3.5 with a 3.5mm jack for receiver. That jack end is important . If this is to fit a Vello receiver most of those are 2.5mm. But others like pocketWizrd use 3.5mm. In either event neither one is correct for the OMD-EM1 because the camera end is wrong. That's for an older series of Olympus.. If you need the camera fitting for the OMD-EM1 with a 2.5mm jack for the receiver see BH #VERCCO325 Or see BH #VERCCO335 if the jack end you require is 3.5mm

Q: 8. Does the Receiver have a true function, or is the camera hot-shoe simply the manufacturer's assigned location?

A: It has nothing to do with the camera's hot-shoe. It plugs into the micro usb terminal and controls the recording and zoom functions if the camera and lens supports it.

Q: 9. will it lock in bulb mode?

A: Yes. :) Push down and forward to hold it in place.

Q: 10. Will this remote work with the sony alpha a100?

A: No it won't. You could use the Sony SM-L1AM remote with your Alpha A100 and, the last time I looked, B&H has it in stock.
