Respond almost instantaneously to unfolding photo opportunities with the black SpiderPro Hand Strap from Spider Camera Holster. The strap is designed to work with your DSLR camera and lens with or without a vertical grip. Because the bottom of the strap mounts between your camera and any tripod plate, it won't interfere with the tripod mounting and you can leave it attached to your camera. The top of the SpiderPro strap is attached by threading it to your camera's upper strap lug. Both the bottom and top of strap can be easily adjusted to the size of your hand.

The strap's curved S-shape and optional, snap-on wrist strap contribute to making your camera feel almost as though it was an extension of your arm. The S-shape is designed to allow unfettered access to the battery door and memory card slots. While it provides added support, the use of the snap-on wrist strap is a matter of personal preference. The foam padding and leather backing provide both comfort and optimal hand positioning for manipulating all camera controls. In addition, with repeated use, the leather will conform to the unique shape of your hand for a custom-like fit.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the max load capacity?

A: I don't know what the load capacity is but I carry a Sony A77ii with a 500mm lens and an external flash with no problems at all

Q: 2. Would this work well with a Sony A7Rii? I saw one reply about an X-T1 working with it, but people seem to complain it is a bit big to be comfortable with a Nikon D600 which is bigger than a Sony A7/Fuji X-T1.

A: Hi Andrew,Thank you for your question. As you may know, the XT-1 has the shutter right atop on the camera body, which makes it very difficult for ANY hand strap to work.. The SONY shutter is more in-line with pro dslr in terms of shutter position, and so will benefit from that, as the Spider HS was designed for PRO bodies. We think the sony A7Rii should work with the current Spider strap especially using it's vertical grip (the cam body is very small for handling, as you most likely know already). Spider is working hard on a hand strap solution that will be designed specifically and will accommodate all mirrorless cameras. hope this helps, thank you, S

Q: 3. Does the strap provide support when shooting in portrait mode? (I would be using them on a 5d3 w/grip, a 7d2 w/grip and a 1Dx.)

A: Hi Luis (thank you all users for responding - much appreciated!). The SpiderPro hand strap has a slim slot connection that will not interfere with your hand operation in a vertical shooting position. The SpiderPro Hand Strap accommodates both full and short camera bodies.I highly suggest to go to a href= http://spiderholster.com target= _blank spiderholster.com/a for the full hand strap assembly video - there are advanced user hand strap adjustments that many people are not aware of, plus the video shows how to use our Strap with the Spider Holster - please make sure you watch the full video...Either way, let us know if you have any issues (directly through a href= http://spiderholster.com target= _blank spiderholster.com/a customer contact)..Many thanks again to all of you who use/responded!, Spider Holster Team

Q: 4. What is the maximum waist size for this belt?

A: The belt fits waists 28 - 50 (71.1 - 127cm)

Q: 5. Is there any way to also use a neck strap with this? I'd like to be able to carry hands free between shots, but am not sure I'm ready for the holster

A: Paiwei has got it right, you can attach a strap that mounts to the tripod socket of your camera, like Black Rapid. click the link below to view the options; https://bhpho.to/30bqELy

Q: 6. Any issues with strength of the plastic strip that the bottom tripod mount bolt goes through? It seems flimsy and my colleague has this same strap and his tore recently.

A: Hi Jason,The Nylon material used for the SpiderPro HS is a variant of the same material they use for zip ties - very strong but flexible. a perfect fit strength wise for a hand strap. Please inquire directly with Spider Holster if you have any issues or concerns in the future - we are very responsive on that end. Many thanks,S

Q: 7. I have an issue wth grip strength, will this help take some of the weight off of my hand grip? Thanks

A: Thank you Daniel.. As you see from others (thank you all for using Spider!) the SpiderPro hand strap does elleviate the weight of the camera. It is the only hand strap that is situated high, close to the wrist, so it really supports the weight of the camera.. It also allows for your hand to go in and out of the strap with no struggle/wiggle you get with traditional starps (huge plus for pro shooters that need to work fast). Universal tripod connection (you can use your own tripod QR plate instead of the provided hardware) so no special connection needed.. You should NOT use the strap to actually carry your camera (it is not a handle) but for support, comfort and security when you shoot..Thank you,Spider Team

Q: 8. Will this strap work with the Fujifilm GFX 50s?

A: Thank you Michael and apologies for the delay in returning to you. The camera size is perfect for the Pro Strap, but this Fuji's starp connection is specific, unique design and will NOT work with our strap. In fact, we believe this connection will not work with ANY hand strap on this planet (unless Fuji comes up with an adapter for the rest of us humans).. Thank you, Spider Team

Q: 9. Does this product work with a battery grip on the camera? I have a Canon 5d MIV. Thanks!

A: I tried it with Nikon d750 with the battery grip, but it wasn't good enough, but with original body it is very good even with a heavy lens

Q: 10. I have a black rapid sport strap and was curious if it will work with my strap?

A: Absolutely. I am using the Black Rapid RS Sport Extreme strap in combination with the SpiderPro Hand Strap and I love them both. Black Rapid doesn't like to mention competitors by name, therefore I assuming that's why they don't specify Black Rapid straps as being compatible. The SpiderPro Hand Strap is extremely comfortable and far superior to other hand straps I have tried. Someone finally got the hand strap right. My only complaint, and a minor one at that, is that the washer that holds the Hand Strap in place under the Black Rapid FastenR is silver rather than black.Maybe I'll post a photo later if I'm able to amend my answer so you can see the two together.

Love it. I've tried many and by far this one is the best . Easy to attach. Conforms to the hand and easy to get to all buttons.

Before I got this holster system, my shoulders would die from having two cameras strapped around them. Nowadays, there's no aches and pains from a long day of shooting. Cameras are easily accessible. Beware, it does compromise access to the side pockets of your pants, and you'll need to remember to lock the cameras when climbing around (learnt this the hard way). Also, a big backpack may make access to the cameras awkward.

I do a lot of sport and photojournalism using a Canon EOS 6D and a Canon 70-200 L lens. The Canon strap did not come close to giving me the support I needed. Once I saw this strap I knew this was the exact strap I was looking for. The strap is very well made and the video instructions make for a foolproof installation.

This is a great hand strap, but it isn't able to attach to my Sony A6300. The Spider Light was designed for mirrorless camera attachment. I wish this would've been made clear in its description.

The Spiderpro camera holster is incredibly easy to use and is very secure. A neck strap is eliminated and that is quite a relief. Walking around with a 70-200mm on my full size camera, especially in hot weather, was quite unbearable when using a neck strap. Now it is no problem. Wearing the camera on your hip also significantly lightens your camera bag.
