Protect your lens with this forest green camo Lens Cover for Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 Non-IS Lens from LensCoat. This water-resistant neoprene cover is custom-built to fit tightly around your lens, and helps protect it against bumps and scratches that may occur while you are out shooting. The neoprene material also acts as a thermal barrier between your hands and the lens, making operation more comfortable in extreme heat or cold.

For simplified operation, the cover features two transparent plastic windows over the distance scale and auto focus switch. A small hole on the base of the cover allows you to view the red dot indicator, making it easy to line up your lens with the camera mount. The forest green camouflage pattern is well-suited for hiding your lens from wildlife when used in wooded areas. This product is made in the USA.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How is it weather resistant if it is a telescoping lens?

A: This lens is functional in high humidity and light drizzle/snow. We do not recommend using this in extremely high conditions as this can damage the lens.

Q: 2. Is there a lens skin for this lens?

A: We currently have a some Lens Skins available for the Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Lens. You can find them at the link here: https://bhpho.to/3yyDW5l

Q: 3. It is compatible with the Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM Lens and canon R5C?

A: The Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM Lens is compatible with the Canon R5C camera.

Q: 4. Does the RF lens are comparable with the Canon 5DMKIII?

A: No, this will not work. This also cannot be adapted to work on any EF-Mount camera. The flange distance of the RF mount is much shorter than the EF-Mount, and so cannot be adapted. There is no way to use this lens on an EF-Mount camera.

Q: 5. is this compatible with the Canon Extender EF 2X II ?

A: No, the RF 70-200 f/2.8 L is not compatible with the Canon Extender EF 2X II. The Canon Extender EF 2X II only works on EF lenses. Additionally, this RF 70-200 f/2.8 is not compatible with any extender. Consider using an EF 70-200mm f/2.8 or the Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM Z Lens with a Canon Extender RF 2X.

Q: 6. Is this lens compatible with a Panasonic GH5 and will the auto focus work with a metabones speed booster?

A: There is currently no known adapter for RF to MFT, and likely not a possible combination due to flange distance (the adapter would have to be 0.75 millimeters in depth).

Q: 7. Is the front element is coating against direct sunlight like ghosting and glare effects?

A: The front element of the Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM Lens is coated to prevent flair.

Q: 8. Currently shooting the ef version on the R5. Having fantastic results, no lag, super sharp. Is it worth the upgrade to the RF version?

A: The RF version is 14 ounces lighter, 2 inches shorter, plus the optics were designed specifically for the mirrorless camera so the images will be sharper.

Q: 9. So from the “in the box,” section it doesn’t state lens hood but it is pictured with the lens. Is it included?

A: Although not listed, the Canon ET-83F lens hood is included with this lens.

Q: 10. Is it possible to use an adapter on a Canon M50 to use the RF 70-200?

A: I'm sorry, no, there is no such adapter available for that combination.

What a great little lens. Having come from the EF system, I really like the compactness of this lens. Not only is it smaller, but it is lighter.

I purchased the Canon RF 70-200 f/2.8 lens for some upcoming trips. I've used the lens on my R5 and have found it to be very sharp and quick to autofocus. Very pleased with the combination of the R5 and 70-200 lens.

Excellent quality, every bit as sharp, if not a little bit more so, than the EF predecessor, but in a slightly smaller form factor. Unlike the EF version, this one retracts like a zoom lens, and doesn't have a full-length body, making it easier to pack and carry. Images are incredibly sharp, autofocus is fast and smooth, image stabilization is excellent. Love this lens.

I had the EF version of this lens and purchased the RF when I moved to mirrorless. Fast, silent and sharp. Can't go wrong. Love that it's so short with the lens cap off.

After reading countless reviews over and over I finally pulled the trigger. It shoot's amazing pictures and equally as great in video. I highly recommend this lens just as the others have said. I don't think anyone would be disappointed with the purchase.

Used this lens last weekend photographing action-Horses jumping event. Love the lens quality and results. Tack sharp fast focus. Not happy with the stark white look of the new L Lens. The older L lens had a nice cream white or Spanish White for those house painters out there. I will put up with it because I purchase for performance not looks...but still a ugly white.. Also not happy with the telescoping lens. It does take up less in the camera bag :) but concerned about sucking dust in while shooting dusty events...Time will tell on that...

It's not that exciting to buy a new lens when you already have one. I've used the 70-200 EF mount for centuries. The RF lenses are SO much FASTER with focusing than EF mount lenses. Once you start converting everything over you won't want to go back.
