A: This particular cable is a mono ts connection on the 3.5mm connector. It would only see the L channel of a stereo signal. There are no resistors in this cable.

Q: 9. How far can I seperate my monitor? Will it vary if I order 6 or 10 feet?

A: All of our Kopul XLR Y Cables separate halfway down the cable, so at a maximum you could separate them a distance equaling the total length of the cable. (The 6 foot sill separate 3 feet down, leaving two 3 feet lengths after the split, the 10 foot will separate 5 feet down, etc.)

Q: 10. Does this pull one channel, or take both? I believe you need an extra resistor in there to take both channels. Thanks!

A: Most adaptors of this sort will take two channels from the 3.5 stereo end and mono it out (combine to 1 channel) into the Xlr end.

This cable works fine to connect CAD GXL1800 condenser microphone to a 3.5mm audio input jack on an ATEM Mini Pro. Both channels of the ATEM are driven, levels are fine, and the ATEM supplies phantom power to the microphone. 5

I use these on the f8 n pro to feed to Sony wireless transmitter to add audio to all my cameras via mulit function hotshot I mess up audio once on a job with the governor of the state at a local business using the PA board controlled by someone else and ever since then I do my own audio and have so many copies of audio it become overkill just like video and images but it works and better premps in f8npro than in camera you just have to have a few extra transmitters and receivers and keep an eye on you channels editing is not that bad if I’ve got a problem, I’ve got the 32 bit recording from the F8 n Pro 5

this product is very useful!! I've used this product before but it wasn't mine. When I had to return the cable I looked for one of my own in local places. *. There was the connector, maybe a 1ft or 2ft cable, but I would have to have gotten a second cable to finish the connection. The problem was I knew that the exact cable I needed existed (the sales associates told me it didn't) I knew if anyone had the cable I was looking for B&H had it. Sure enough they did and in stereo form!!! That was another thing. I was told it only came in mono! I'm very pleased with this product it's JUST what I needed!! 5

Very pleased with product, but not too much to say. It does the job with very little noticeable degradation to quality through conversion. Plus, the cable is VERY thick compared to most mini cables which is a definite plus. 5

Not much to say here, it works as advertised and delivers great sound. One thing i was very glad of from comprehensive is the thick cord and plastic cover they used. Many other xlr-mini cables are very thin and deliver an excessive amount of feedback and risk damage, but not this baby. 5

I was afraid the cable would not be thick enough. I personally prefer thicker ones because they tend to last longer. This indeed was as thick as I liked for it to be. 5

I use this cable to connect an external short shotgun mic to my Canon T3i for better sound quality while shooting video. The mic I use is a non-powered (no batteries) short shotgun microphone. The length is just right for connecting the mic to the hot shoe on the camera and staying out of the way while using a tripod. I would definitely recommend this inexpensive cable to connect better sound recording devices to your DSLR video camera. 5
