$300.00 $372.00

The 4 x 4" Cavision Enhanced Range ND Filter has a filter factor of 8x that provides a 3-stop exposure reduction and is compatible with filter holders that can accommodate 3mm thick rectangular filters. Its 0.9 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By increasing your aperture or slowing your exposure time, you can control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

This filter is uncoated and is constructed from optical glass for clarity as well as color fidelity. Its enhanced range design is intended to maintain image sharpness when used with lenses that feature a focal length of up to 300mm.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this filter fit a Leica Summilux 50mm F1.4 and would cause vignetting in the image wide open?

A: The Heliopan 46mm Variable Gray ND Filter will fit the Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH. Lens and will not vignette.

Q: 2. How do I take apart the heliopan to clean?

A: Unfortunately, this filter cannot be disassembled.

Q: 3. Will the standard vignette on the Tokina 16-28mm at 16mm?

A: I am using mine with the Nikkor 14-24 as well and it works very well.

Q: 4. I have a Nikon 50mm f/1.4 lens with a good. The lens cap fits inside the lens and it says 58mm. Will this lens filter fit this lens?

A: Yes, any 58mm filter will fit.

Q: 5. How significant is the benefit of the extra cost multicoating on the BW neutral density filter (3 stop version, 58mm) An extra expense I can avoid?

A: I think it is money well spent. As you know filters tend to get dirty fast so I'm cleaning them a lot. I've had the cheaper ones and I've noticed hair line scratches from wiping over an extended period of time.Good luck.Bart W

Q: 6. Does this work with the 82mm PM VND II by PolarPro?

A: No, the PolarPro Recon ND16 Filter is designed for Recon VND Matte Box and will not work with an 82mm filter.

Q: 7. will I be able to use the hood on my 35mm 1.2 voightlander with this filter?

A: I have this filter in 49mm on a Pentax FA 43 and I am able to screw on a B+W metal hood with no problem.

Q: 8. Will this work properly on a Leica 50mm Noctilux f/0.95?

A: Yes, the 60mm Heliopan variable ND filter attaches directly to the Leica 50mm Noctilux f/0.95. It is a great quality filter and easy to use. It is good not to need a step up ring and you can extend the built in Noctilux lens hood over the filter. However, same as BW filter, you can't use the Leica noctilux lens cap directly on it.

Q: 9. Am I right to assume that a 58mm lens cap would fit over this filter?

A: Yes, technically a 58mm lens cap should fit. But filters like these can be wider. They essentially are made up of two polarizing filters sandwiched together. So they can be a bit wider because of that.

Q: 10. What's the actual filter weight (not package shipping weight) in grams. Looking for options for drone lens...?

A: Sorry, we do not have the actual weight on record and we cannot weigh it. I would subtract a few ounces to get at the weight you need to know.
