The Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The omnidirectional version is most common in applications where feedback issues are not very likely. The microphone can be worn without a windscreen as the omnidirectional capsule provides excellent wind noise rejection.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is cocoa and features a Switchcraft TA4-Female connector for Sabine transmitters.

A miniature omnidirectional capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame with silicon ear pads. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin. For more information on which color earset suits you best, refer to the Countryman support page.

The included 2mm Diameter Duramax Cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters. The Duramax 2mm diameter cable provides extra strength, flexibility and durability.

The omnidirectional polar pattern is most effective in minimizing wind noise, plosives (popping) and handling noise. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning while minimizing off-axis noise. The E6i is also available in a cardioid version for maximum off-axis noise rejection in environments with high feedback and noise.

This E6i's sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture strong vocals without noise and distortion. The high headroom is well suited for singers and performers in stage and broadcast applications.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the FSB-4 that much better than the Ace XL? Besides the Ace having more plastic, are the differences substantial or marginal?

A: With plastic head's, the main compromise that is made is in rigidity and flex. If you deal with heavier cameras, with pretty tight tilt and pan settings, you may end up with a degree of flex back with the Ace vs the FSB. If you lock an ACE down completely, and push on the camera, you can actually see the head move a bit...may not be an issue to most people.

Q: 2. Is an ARRI dovetail plate available for this unit?

A: You will be able to mount the Sachtler FSB 4 Fluid Head's Quick Release Plate to an ARRI Dovetail Plate.

Q: 3. I have the Godox XProC trigger already. Did I also need to purchase a receiver for this or is it built in?

A: An X series receiver is already built into this monolight, so your XPRO C transmitter can fire it.

Q: 4. Do you have 100 - 240 50/60 hz input ac power?

A: Godox SK, QS and QT lines are 110v only. The MS and AD series are capable of being used on 110-240v.

Q: 5. The "what is included in the box" answer does not mention a power cord? Must the power cord be purchased separately?

A: A power cord is included with this light.

Q: 6. What plate are the K-30x shipping with? The sirui catalog shows the plate with the red platic feet to prevent rotation. But I have comments that they are shipping with the TYX plates that have the strap holder instead.

A: After going back and forth with Amazon they confirmed that all the new Sirui heads are shipping with the TYX series plates for the K-30x they are shipping with the TY-60X. All the product photos at amazon and BH show the TY-60 with the red tabs, but that is not what you will receive from Sirui.

Q: 7. Does the Gitzo Gimbal Fluid Head have a flash bracket that attaches to the head? Will the Wimberly bracket fit on the Gitzo head?

A: Wimberly makes two kinds of bracket. One mounts directly to the head. This probably would not work. Wimberly also makes a bracket designed to fasten on top of Wimberley plates or replacement feet. Assuming you were using the appropriate sized Arca Swiss style plate or foot (Wimberley, Kirk, RRS, or others on your telephoto lens, that style of bracket will work. (It is also a superior design to competitors' flash brackets, in that it can be used with a variety of lens tube diameters, and it can be used with the lens/camera combination even when not mounted on any head!)

Q: 8. With Feisol CT-3441T tripod, would you be able to reverse fold the legs without splaying?

A: Not familiar with the Feisol. Specs Physical Ball Sphere Diameter 1.73" / 44 mm Dimensions H: 4.4" / H: 112.0 mm Weight 1.1 lb / 0.5 kg Based on my experience it should fit between the legs.

Q: 9. Will this head mount on a monopod?

A: It fits on mine. You need to check the thread size and make sure that they are compatible. That being said, I find that having a ball head on a monopod is a little bit awkward. It's quite hard to move the head with one hand while holding the monopod with the other hand.

Q: 10. Is it arca-swiss compatible?

A: The Sirui K-30x Ball Head is Arca-Swiss compatible.
