The Countryman E6i Cardioid Microphone is a miniature ear-set microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The cardioid version effectively minimizes off-axis feedback and noise from nearby monitor speakers, instruments and noisy sources. Flexible microphone positioning is maintained and the included windscreen minimizes the wind noise often associated with cardioid microphones.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is tan and features a 1/8" Locking-mini connector for use with Sennheiser wireless transmitters.

A miniature cardioid capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters. The Duramax 2mm diameter cable provides extra strength, flexibility and durability.

The cardioid polar pattern is effective in minimizing off-axis residual noise from e nearby monitor speakers, instruments and loud sources. The result is increased signal-to-noise ratio and minimal feedback. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning. The E6i is also available in an omnidirectional version for maximum control over wind noise and plosives (popping).

This E6i's sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture strong vocals without noise and distortion. The high headroom is well suited for singers and performers in stage and broadcast applications.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have a D850 & SB5000, will the remote fire the camera and the flash off camera?

A: Yes, the Nikon WR-R11a/WR-T10 Remote Controller Set may be used to wirelessly trigger both the Nikon D850 DSLR Camera and an off-camera Nikon SB-5000 Speedlight Flash.

Q: 2. I own both the D850 and the Z7. Which remote set do I need to get?

A: Nikon Z7 you can use Nikon WR-R11b/WR-T10 Remote Controller Set B&H # NIWR11BWRT10 and D850 Nikon WR-R10/WR-T10/WR-A10 Wireless Remote Adapter Set BH #NIWR10 • MFR #27106

Q: 3. I'm confused between the wr-r11b vs. wr-r10b. For a D7500, can either work? If I get the wr-a10 adaptor, will I be able to connect the wr-r11b to my D5 and D500 (like I can the wr-r10)?

A: Unfortunately the Nikon WR-R11b does not work with the Nikon WR-A10. Both the WR-R11b and the WR-R10 work with the Nikon D7500.

Q: 4. I have a Nikon Z9. What Radio Remote is compatible with the Z9? I have a WR-R10/WR-T10 for my DSLR and a WR-R11b for my Z6II. What adapter do I need for my WR-R11b? Thanks. Ron

A: Nikon does not have an adapter for the WR-R11b. The Z9 is compatible with the Nikon WR-R11a Remote Controller. You place the WR-R11a on the Z9 and it can be fired from the WR-T10. Here is the link for it. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1598717-REG/nikon_4238_wr_r11a_remote_controller.html

Q: 5. Is there a cheaper work around 3rd party wireless remote trigger that does NOT occupy the hot shoe? Going from a sub-$20 remote (ML-L3) to a sub-$300 set is a hard pill to swallow....for essentially the same functionality.

A: As an alternative to this product, see others such as the Vello Shutterboss III or the Vello Freewave Plus. They use a cable to relay communication, and the hot shoe is simply the most convenient place to place the receiver. They do not need the hot shoe to function. You could leave it hanging via the cable if you really needed to, but that would be a little risky. Shutterboss III (Nikon): https://bhpho.to/37WbxdA Freewave Plus (Nikon): https://bhpho.to/2NGxzdw

Q: 6. Is this compatible with the Nikon D3S?

A: Yes it is!

Q: 7. Will this remote work with d850?

A: No, the WR-R11b/WR-T10 combo will not work with the Nikon D850 camera. It uses the 10-pin Nikon connection. The WR remote set you need is this one, the WR-R11a/WR-T10 set: https://bhpho.to/3a4nmme

Q: 8. I own a D850 and a Z7. Do I need 2 separate remotes? If so, which remote goes with which camera? Thanks in advance!

A: In order to utilize your cameras, you would need this kit for the D850 plus the Nikon WR-R11b Remote Controller, BH # NIWR11B for your Z7. https://bhpho.to/31SqoCr

Q: 9. Will this remote shutter auto focus with back button focus set on?

A: I contacted Nikon USA concerning your inquiry. According to Nikon, they state the remote's shutter button should trip the shutter regardless of what the camera is set to in regards to shutter or back button. As such, yes, it should work for your usage needs when the camera is set to back button autofocus.

Q: 10. Minor point but is there a way to attach the remote to a lanyard or something I know I will misplace the thing the first time I use it

A: Yes, a lanyard comes the WR-R11a/WR-T10 Remote Controller Set.
