Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Earset Headworn Microphone (cocoa)
- Product Code: ga232434

The Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.
The omnidirectional version is most common in applications where feedback issues are not very likely. The microphone can be worn without a windscreen as the omnidirectional capsule provides excellent wind noise rejection.
The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.
A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is cocoa and features a Switchcraft TA3-Female connector for AKG transmitters.

A miniature omnidirectional capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame with silicon ear pads. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.
The included 2mm Diameter Duramax Cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters. The Duramax 2mm diameter cable provides extra strength, flexibility and durability.
The omnidirectional polar pattern is most effective in minimizing wind noise, plosives (popping) and handling noise. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning while minimizing off-axis noise. The E6i is also available in a cardioid version for maximum off-axis noise rejection in environments with high feedback and noise.
This E6i sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture general speech without noise and distortion.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Will this mic compatible with Behringer X Air 18? Maybe with trs to xlr adapter? If yes, does it need the phantom power? And what adapter is recommended?
A: No. This mic requires "plug in" power, it will not work with phantom power. It is designed for use with cameras and cell phones.
Q: 2. What is the USB port for?
A: The Micro USB port is an output port.
Q: 3. Does it have dual function for making Filmora videos on a laptop as well as with a camera?
A: This mic can be used with a laptop that has a dedicated mic input that passes plugin power. Any camera being used with it would also have to pass plugin power for this mic to work. To work with a laptop that does not have a dedicated mic input, we would recommend a usb interface such as this to make it work, B&H # AUATR2XUSB.
Q: 4. Will this work on a Nikon D5100?
A: The Nikon D5100 can provide power to mics which require it and is compatible with the VideoMicro.
Q: 5. I have this microphone with the Rode SC7 cable, they seem to be incompatible with canon cameras (works with the GH5 but not the Canon R6 nor G7Xiii). When I switch cable back to the Movo original cable, it works. Why is that? Connection types should be the same...
A: Certain Rode adapter cables maybe wired in specific ways which prevent them from being used beyond their initial intent. The SC7 was meant to be used to connect a TRS microphone to a smartphone with TRRS connection. In this case, if the Movo cable works for you, I'd stay with that.
Q: 6. Is this compatible with canon 100D?
A: Note: Canon EOS 100D is known as Canon EOS SL1 in the USA.This camera provides the requisite plug-in power for this microphone. The mic is compatible.
Q: 7. Will this work with an Olympus EM5 II?? It is a Mirrorless, but I cannot find in the specs if the MIC plug is powered.
A: You can use it.
Q: 8. So if I want my audio converted to digital IN-MIC, I need a Sony A7R IV? And using it on my Sony A7iii only gets me analog into camera? Please confirm.
A: Hi Roger, This microphone will work with the Sony A7III for Analog Audio through the Multi-Interface Shoe on the camera. For digital audio, you will need Sony A7RIV or A9II for the feature to work.
Q: 9. Will the Rode VideoMicro Ultracompact Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone work with the FujiFilm x100v?
A: The Fujifilm X100V will work with any battery powered microphone. I am not seeing anything in the Fujifilm X100V manual, nor any forums on the X100V that confirm if it is compatible with microphones that require mic plugin power like the Rode Videomicro.
Q: 10. Sound quality when the speaker is beyond an arms reach? Can I have the speaker 6ft -10ft from mic and have usable sound?
A: At 10 feet away, you might still get better sound than the microphone built into the camera, but the ECM-B1M Camera-Mount Digital Shotgun Microphone will usually sound best within 3-5 feet away from the subject. As the voice gets farther from the mic, you will pick up more echo and ambient noise in the recording.
