The cocoa E6i (2.5mm Stereo) from Countryman is a miniature, omnidirectional, earset condenser microphone designed for accurate voice reproduction (speaking and singing) and near-invisible appearance in theater, concerts, lectures, houses or worship, and more. It features a water- and wind-resistant capsule that delivers a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response. The omnidirectional polar pattern picks up sound from all directions and should be used when feedback is not common.

The 5’ detachable cable has a diameter of 2mm, and features a 2.5mm connector for compatibility with Samson transmitters. The E6i offers a flexible boom for versatile placement. The three protective caps yield different high-end frequency presence. The supplied windscreen protects the condenser element, and reduces plosives and wind noise. A miniature omnidirectional capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame with silicon ear section. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin. For more information on which color earset suits you best, refer to the Countryman support page.

The included 2mm diameter cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters. The Duramax 2mm diameter cable provides extra strength, flexibility and durability.

The omnidirectional polar pattern is most effective in minimizing wind noise, plosives (popping) and handling noise. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning while minimizing off-axis noise. The E6i is also available in a cardioid version for maximum off-axis noise rejection in environments with high feedback and noise.

This E6i sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture both speech and vocal performances without noise and distortion.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there USB connectivity for input from an Ipod?

A: Unfortunately this model does not have the ability for USB connection to an iPod or Smartphone. The USB port in the back is meant for Service and Firmware updates. You will need a Mini to RCA cable to connect either device to this Receiver.

Q: 2. Will it work in Israel? Here the input power is 120 VAC, 60 Hz but in Israel, it's 220 VAC, 50 Hz

A: No, unless you use a transformer. As the Sony STR-DH190 Stereo Receiver, has voltage support of 120 VAC, 60 Hz.

Q: 3. I use the canon 70d with this mic and I get extreme hissing noises behind my audio. What can I do to bring the hissing down?

A: I do get a little hiss, but it goes away with any simple DeNoiser, like the one Adobe Premere has built-in.

Q: 4. where is the bass and treble control?

A: Hi Michael, yes, you can use the remote control to adjust the bass and treble of the receiver. ~Ralph

Q: 8. I am starting to do interview type video and want to improve my sound. Will I be able to use this mic on my 5DIV's and also on a boom placed over the subject or would I be better off buying a lapel mic?
