The Gitzo GH2750 Series 2 Off Center Magnesium Ballhead follows the same outer shell design and look of the G1275M, but has completely redesigned and re-engineered internal components and mechanisms. The weight has been reduced by 15-17%, and new Gitzo technologies have been introduced.

Exceptionally smooth rotation, positive locking, and rapid camera mounting are all features common to the Gitzo designed range of ballheads. The graduated base, with independent locking facilities permits perfect panoramic photography. The design of the panoramic base permits these ballheads to be used for table top or near ground level work with or without the use of a tripod. This is an offset ballhead, which makes it possible to point more than 90° down. Includes the standard size Gitzo quick release plate.

A: This is made for the Series 5 so will be way too big. What you need is item # GS3513S which is made for the Series 3 & 4.

A: Technically it will attach but it might be way overkill for such a small tripod. Plus the base diameter of this head is 40mm so it will probably hang over the edge of the top plate of the tripod.

A: Arca Swiss what? Are you asking if the Quick release plate will fit the Gitzo ball head? Doubt it. Doesn't matter. Get the Gitzo offset ball head with quick release plate. It is both quick release on and off. No knob to twist and tighten every time you use it.

A: Hi Robert, with the column fully retracted, it is 2 inches from the legs to the mounting plate. I use it on the Series 5 tripod.
