The black E6 Directional Earset Mic, Medium Gain, with Detachable 2mm Cable and TA5F Connector for Audio-Technica Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one-tenth ounce. It can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6 Earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers forget they're wearing a mic. Three sensitivity options cover general speaking to extremely powerful vocals and four color options allow you to match the E6 to your skin tone for minimum visibility.

In addition, the E6 Earset features a pattern-changeable directional microphone for maximum isolation and gain before feedback, but is available as a water- and wind-resistant omnidirectional microphone too. This directional E6 Earset's cable terminates to a TA5F connector for direct connection to an Audio-Technica ATW-U101 wireless bodypack transmitter.

The Countryman E6 head-worn Earset is small and lightweight, and is hardly visible from a distance.

The E6 Earset's stainless steel boom is built tough and can be bent and re-bent many times to fit different performers. The E6 is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps.

The flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face and is available in multiple skin tones. Their protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones; caps for the directional earset adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid. Choose a sensitivity for speaking or singing with up to 145 dB SPL capability.

The E6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion and an SPL of up to 145 dB. It delivers rich, full band audio quality.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a position for rejecting unwanted sounds. Countryman's omnidirectional Earset offers a reduction of 12 dB compared to a lavalier mic, while the directional E6 Earset provides even more isolation. Excellent for houses of worship, theater, and outdoor events.

An E6 replacement cable installs in seconds. The snap-on cables are rugged and available for almost any wireless transmitter or for XLR inputs with phantom power.

For speaking and vocals.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can a softbox be attached to this product? if so, which one please.

A: A compatible softbox for this speed ring is the Photoflex Large LiteDome (34 x 45 x 24.5"), B&H # PHLDLQ. https://bhpho.to/2nemra3

Q: 2. Can the Vello ShutterBoss II also trip the record button/function for making videos? I use a Nikon D750 camera.

A: Yes. The D750 has the ability to assign the shutter button to start/stop video recording. The instructions to do so are found on page 373 of the Nikon D750 user's manual: https://bhpho.to/3gyrFH5 Once the shutter button is the start/stop button for video, this remote, which activates the shutter button, can start and stop the video.

Q: 3. Is it compatible with and supplied with cable for A99V?

A: I have Sony Alpha 7 11 and it worked very well with it. The web site for Vello products informs you about what cameras it will work. If you still have doubt, the customer service at Vello products was extremely helpful. I had similar questions and concerns before I bought the SutterBoss 11 for my camera.

Q: 4. What is new in version 2?

A: According to Vello, there are two new additions with the Shutterboss II over the original model. A power off option has been added to simply help conserve battery life. The other option is a reset back to factory settings so that each setting does not need to be reset individually.

Q: 5. Does the controller let you know when it has successfully communicated to the receiver?

A: I haver not noticed that it does. However the Nikom shutter is so load that there is no question as to when it is activated

Q: 6. will it work on Nikon D3400?

A: I'm sorry, I am unable to answer this question. I own Sony equipment and have not had a chance to try it on the Sony yet

Q: 7. Will this work with Rebel SL2 ?

A: The impression you get is that Vello has distinctly different models for different cameras, but it appears that the only difference is the cable that connects to the camera. As long as your camera has an input for a remote shutter, and you pick the right cable, you should be good. I ordered one for my 80d, but I see that I can order a cable for my 7d and should be good for both.

Q: 8. What remote control do you have for Canon 6 D Mark II

A: Sorry, I don't have a 6D Mark II. I have a 70D.

Q: 9. I want to record a series of back-to-back bulb exposures with *very* little time between exposures -- essentially continuous shooting. Specifically... Can I set the Vello device to 20-sec exposures and 20-sec intervals? ...or must I add a between-shot time delay? (e.g., 19-sec exposures and 20-sec intervals).

A: You need to set the interval. And the fastest is one second.

Q: 10. Does this work with the original Vello Shutterboss Transmitter? They are both in 2.4GHz so the question is if Vello has been consistent from version to version with which frequency in the band each channel represents. Has anyone tried using an original Shutterboss transmitter with the Shutterboss II receiver?

A: The new receiver is completely compatible with the original transmitter. I have used the old transmitter simultaneously with both the old and new receivers with my Nikon bodies.
