Formatt Fog Filters are excellent filters when you want to recreate the effects of natural fog. It generates a soft glow and flare - producing a warm romantic tone. A natural fog causes lights to glow and flare. Contrast is lower, and sharpness may be affected as well.

If you think of a perfume atomizer, that is what a Fog filter will resemble. Like tiny droplets in the air, they create a soft image that is useful when you need to recreate the effect of humidity in a tropical scene.

Formatt Fog Filters are also available as Double Fog Filters.

Formatt, a company with three generations of professional filter-making experience produces every filter to the highest technical standards. The finest materials, together with state of-the-art production technology have resulted in a standard of optical excellence unmatched anywhere else.

Q: 1. Does that lens fully work (all apertures) with a SLR Nikon F6?

A: Unfortunately, as the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f/1.4E ED Lens uses a new electromagnetic aperture design, you would not be able to adjust the aperture of the lens when connected to the older Nikon F6 35mm Film SLR Camera. Just and update to my earlier review from a little over a year ago. I originally kept the lens because my NEX-EA50 had the correction for the pillow distortion built in, even though it didn't work for the NEX-FS700. Well I'm glad I kept it. Now there has been a firmware update for the NEX-FS700 (700r to be exact) that corrects the distortion as well. This has now become one of my go-to lenses for ENG work. It still isn't as nice looking, or fast, as one of my Canon L lenses with my Speedbooster. But the autofocus, face detection, and power zoom, makes it great in less-than -ideal run-and-gun situations. NOTE: The correction is only for the internal AVCHD and 8-bit output. This will still be distorted for true 10-bit, or more, output to an external recorder like the 7Q+. It will work with something like an Atomos Ninja 2 that simply takes the normal 8-bit output and wraps it up as a 10-bit file.

Have been using the Zeiss 32mm f/1.8 as the go to lens but finding it somewhat limiting in travel photography. After reviewing various online reviews, decided to get the Sony 18-105 f/4. It is a step up to the kit lens in terms of quality and decreases my frequency to change lens thanks to the wide focal range.

I'm using this lens with a Sony a6000. I bought it to replace a lens that wasn't compatible with the camera. I wasn't sure about the power zoom, but I really like it, plus you can manually zoom if you want too. It is sharp. I haven't had it too long, but so far it has been great!

I waited for this lens on back order and it was absolutely worth waiting every second. Took my Sony A6000 and gave it new life. I highly reccommend it to everyone looking for an all around lens.

I use it on an A6000, mainly in a small studio setting with external flash. Pictures are great, on par with the SEL35F18 @ f4. Portraits are sharp and the prints look awesome. When using the remote app from my iPhone, it's pretty cool to be able to control zoom and focus remotely!! Beware that this lens with the pop-up flash will produce a shadow. Use an external flash or point the pop-up flash upwards. Also, when the camera powers down, it resets the focal length to 18mm. Besides this minor things, its a great lens.

I have purchased this lens to use it for video with my A7s camera. I only had the 16-35 f/4 and I was longing for a zoom. Though this lens is not a full frame lens in crop mode it works perfectly and the zoom gets even further. I love the electronic zoom funcion, it works really well. I can switch my camera to auto focus and I can just control the zoom just like on a normal video camera. The picture quality is great.

Other reviewers have described this as a large heavy lens. While it is larger than other NEX lens it balances on the camera great and not really that heavy. This is a very well designed and built lens. Have used this both for photo and video on a NEX-7 with super results. Compared to regular DSLR (other camera is Canon 60D w/18-135) this is such a handy workable combination. Have made super enlargements and crops with this lens. My only comment (kind of a complaint) is - 1, the zoom switch is on the side for underhand grip but I always use a small camera with overhand grip so the switch should be naturally on top of the lens, and - 2, since it is all electric drive it always returns to WA when switched off, turning on takes a few seconds to restore both the screen and reset the drive motors. Other than that this is the perfect lens. Good zoom range for still & video and constant f4 is great. Would be interesting to test against the Zeiss. Very satisfied with operation and results.
