The cocoa B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Very Low Sensitivity, with Hardwired Waterproof 2.5mm Connector for Lectrosonics Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.
Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a waterproof 2.5mm connector for direct connection to a Lectrosonics MM200, MM400, MM400a, MM400b, or MM400c wireless bodypack transmitter.
Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.
The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.
The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.
Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.
Very low, mic near user's mouth.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Is it steady enough to hold a Nikon D3s + 70-200mm f2.8 or 200-500mm lens?My concern is especially if the tripod is steady enough at the center column not moving or shaking while panning.
A: Yes. I use it with my sigma 150-600 sport lens and it works great. It is rated for 33lbs. I think.
Q: 2. Does this come with the MS mic as well as the X/Y mic ?
A: The Zoom H5 4-Input / 4-Track Portable Handy Recorder includes the Zoom XYH-5 - X/Y Microphone Capsule with purchase, but does not include the MSH-6 Mid-Side Microphone Capsule (BH #ZOZMSH6). This item can be added separately and used interchangeably with the H5 as desired: https://bhpho.to/39sjhHP
Q: 3. when I use it as a monopod, can I attach the 3-leg Removable Rubber Foot from other Sirui monopods?
A: No, unfortunately, the 3 leg attachment will not work with the W-2204.
Q: 4. I tried using the Rode Videomic Pro with my Zoom H1 in a DIY boom setup. H1 maxes out (100) to hit -12db, which obviously isnt a good way to record and evidently sounds hissy/hummy/noisy. Would Zoom H5 be a significant improvement over H1 in that regard? Are its amps more powerful? Would it record much better/cleaner audio (hitting -12db) at maybe 60-70 as opposed to 100 on the H1, which would be kinda ideal I guess?
A: The Zoom H5 would definitely be a huge improvement. Not only are you getting xlr inputs, but Zoom made better quality/cleaner/less noisy mic pres in those xlr inputs. Even comparing the H5 to the old H4N which has xlr inputs as well, you can clearly hear a difference in sound quality. Less gain is required before noise starts.
Q: 5. Can someone please tell me the tripod's maximum height without using the center column, and excluding a tripod head?
A: I set mine up. It's 58 1/4 inches without a head. The legs are only out at the first notch.
Q: 6. Would the RRS 55H work on this tripod? And would suggest this or the manfrotto 055 for using with a sigma 150-600?
A: Yes. The Sirui W-2204 Waterproof Carbon Fiber Tripod is compatible with the RRS BH-55 head. The Sirui is waterproof, taller, and lighter weight than the Manfrotto 055. Both would be fine for use with the 150-600 lens.
Q: 7. do i need special adapter cable to connect DSLR Canon 60d camera?
A: you can run a 3.5mm m/m cable from the Zoom to the 60D - makes it easier to sync audio - at least that is how I do it
Q: 8. If one records a scale played on the piano, when the recording is played back at a slowed speed, does the frequency of the notes (pitch) change? Is there a recorder that will playback the music slower (than the original speed, tempo) without changing the frequency (pitch) of these notes?
A: This is not a function of the recorder. You want to look at audio editing software. If you aren't ready to invest (I use Adobe Audition, but the subscription to Adobe Creative Suite is $600/yr), then look at freeware like Audacity, which is pretty great for freeware. I'm 99% sure Audacity can do speed change without pitch change. And Audacity is pretty easy to learn, if you're not too impatient.
Q: 9. Previous Question: “Can I plug into a multbox or other conference room audio systems for clean audio?” How or which cables settings are needed to plug into audio mixer?
A: The Zoom H5 Portable Handy Recorder can be connected to a mult box (press box) using a standard XLR female to XLR male cable. The output signal on most press conference boxes is mic level or it may be switchable between mic and line level. Use the mic level input setting on the H5 and adjust the settings as you would when recording with any microphone. When recording the output from a mixer, the signal is going to be line level. The cables you will need are dependent on the output connections that are available on the mixer. It may be 1/4" TS or TRS, or RCA, but typically will have left and right outputs on the mixer, so you can connect to both XLR inputs on the H5.
Q: 10. Is there any padding inside for the camera?
A: This has no padding
