The cocoa B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Low Sensitivity, with Hardwired Waterproof 2.5mm Connector for Lectrosonics Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a waterproof 2.5mm connector for direct connection to a Lectrosonics MM200, MM400, MM400a, MM400b, or MM400c wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Low, head miking for theater.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can I use the Rode Go II (or any other) wireless transmitter to record using a 3.5 plug?

A: Rode Go II comes with a SC5 3.5mm TRS Cable that you can use to connect the receiver to the 1/8'' mic input, located on the left-hand side of the X-Y mic module on the Zoom H5 recorder.

Q: 2. Is it steady enough to hold a Nikon D3s + 70-200mm f2.8 or 200-500mm lens?My concern is especially if the tripod is steady enough at the center column not moving or shaking while panning.

A: Yes. I use it with my sigma 150-600 sport lens and it works great. It is rated for 33lbs. I think.

Q: 3. Does the zoom h5 has a power plug (ac\dc or usb)? i know that in the spec it is written that it has/ im asking because i have the zomm h2d and it also written there that the Power Options are Batteries, USB Bus Power, AC/DC Power Adapter - and its not correct. there is no ac\dc option and the usb option is only for recording to a compouter.

A: Yes, you can connect the included USB cable to the Zoom AD-17 AC adapter (not included) to power the H5.

Q: 4. Phantom

A: Yes, the Zoom H5 Portable Handy Recorder is capable of supplying 48V of phantom power through its XLR mic inputs.

Q: 5. when I use it as a monopod, can I attach the 3-leg Removable Rubber Foot from other Sirui monopods?

A: No, unfortunately, the 3 leg attachment will not work with the W-2204.

Q: 6. My zoom h5 after 1 year is giving little electronic hum in the xy capsule. Is it because of static? or is it because i used the AA battries of my photo flash?

A: Please contact Zoom customer support for further assistance: https://www.zoom-na.com/contact

Q: 7. If one records a scale played on the piano, when the recording is played back at a slowed speed, does the frequency of the notes (pitch) change? Is there a recorder that will playback the music slower (than the original speed, tempo) without changing the frequency (pitch) of these notes?

A: This is not a function of the recorder. You want to look at audio editing software. If you aren't ready to invest (I use Adobe Audition, but the subscription to Adobe Creative Suite is $600/yr), then look at freeware like Audacity, which is pretty great for freeware. I'm 99% sure Audacity can do speed change without pitch change. And Audacity is pretty easy to learn, if you're not too impatient.

Q: 8. Need to clarify previous question: Can I use the capsules in addition to two separate mono mics, resulting in 2 channels for the stereo capsules and 1 each for the external mic inputs?

A: You can use the mic capsules and two separate mono mics resulting in 1 stereo track (2 channels) and two separate mono tracks for each external microphone.

Q: 9. Is this a purely manual recorder, or can it be set to set volume automatically?

A: Recording can be started and stopped automatically in response to the input level. All input volume (gain) levels can be adjusted quickly by hand using dedicated knobs. Back-up recording gain is automatically set -12dB.

Q: 10. How well can this tripod fold around Markins Q10 or similar ballheads with wider pan base then tripod column base?

A: The Sirui K20 has a 54mm base and the K30 has a 61mm base and they both work well The Markins Q10 has a 62mm diameter base so it will fold easily
