The cocoa E6i (TA4F) from Countryman is a miniature, omnidirectional, earset condenser microphone designed for accurate voice reproduction (speaking and singing) and near-invisible appearance in theater, concerts, lectures, houses or worship, and more. It features a water- and wind-resistant capsule that delivers a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response. A: Hi Corey, I'm not sure I can assist you with the A9 but on a recent trip to NY, I purchased this unit for the A7RII. With the A7RII the unit has worked flawlessly. I had a hard time finding a unit with these capabilities which was compatible with my camera and was hesitant to purchase given some feedback on a number of other units. Here is what I have found. Not only does the remote work with my A7RII, it also works well with my RX100mV. While all new cameras have a few teething problems, can I suggest that you remove the batteries and see if the unit triggers the camera as a simple remote. If it works, maybe there is a problem with the remote. If it doesn't then go to the camera settings and do a full reset of the camera setting (just in case something has been accidentally changed in the menu's. If the remote still doesn't work I would suggest letting Sony know. There are always firmware updates which address these type of issues once products have been on the market and field tested. A: The Vello ShutterBoss II will not AutoFocus when the camera is set to Back-Button Focus. It will simply trigger the shutter. If you wish to AutoFocus from the remote, you will need to turn off Back-Button Focus.
