A: There is a small sticker underneath the camera, on the right-hand side, that shows the serial number of the camera. It also shows the camera model "DSC-RX100M5A". That is the one and only indication on the camera body that the camera is a "VA" model and not a "V" Even the box doesn't have any indication that the camera inside is a "VA" model

A: Hi James, It does not have continuous auto-focus (AF-C). The focus options are: 1) Manual focus 2) Preset focus: NEAR (0.5-1m in focus), FAR (1m in focus) 3) AF-S: Half press shutter button to lock focus and during recording, focus does not change.
