A: Should be fine but I would recommend a clamp and a small sand bag to the back

Q: 2. will this work for transport on flights?

A: Yes it will, this is a very well made and secure case. You may just want to add the Ruggard 3-Dial TSA Combination Lock to it for additional security, BH #RUTPLZ3CG. https://bhpho.to/2KP38Ng

Q: 3. I want to build a boom light stand. Can this boom be used with this stand?https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?A=details&O=&Q=&ap=y&c3api=1876%2C%7Bcreative%7D%2C%7Bkeyword%7D&gclid=CPHx85mt_NQCFdxMDQodQ48Ewg&is=REG&m=Y&sku=33087 target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?A=details&O=&Q=&ap=y&c3api=1876%2C%7Bcreative%7D%2C%7Bkeyword%7D&gclid=CPHx85mt_NQCFdxMDQodQ48Ewg&is=REG&m=Y&sku=33087/a

A: Definitely. I use 5 and/or 10 lb. Boa sandbags as counterweights.

Q: 4. How high is the stand itself?

A: 5.9"

Q: 5. Is this case sturdy enough to fly with?

A: Yes. You can fly with, B&H # (this item) GA1924RMCS. With it's Molded Polyethylene Shell it is more than sturdy enough to fly with.

Q: 6. what is the best mathews c stand for this boom?

A: Any c-stand, junior roller, combo, hi-roller will work depending on how much leg spread you need to assist the counterbalance for a safe hold. In other words, say you have just a head on this boom, with a c-stand and proper sand bags, you would be just fine. But if you start to carry more weight, upsize the stand. The whole point with this boom, its small and compact, designed to fit in cramped spaces. When you start to carry more weight, invest in a Manfrotto Mega-boom. It needs a junior roller or similar, but its still fairly compact for for its abilities.

Q: 7. For the Matthews Mini Boom (45-80 ), what is the weight capacity when the boom is fully extended?

A: It is 8 lbs maximum capacity at full extension.

Q: 8. Is there a weight limit for the arm?

A: The weight limit is more determined by the limit of the stand keeping the boom, counterweight and load all under the limit of the stand.

Q: 9. Does this mount allow for the display to be left in the upper position and then lowered?

A: It is adjustable: Adjustable telescopic pole allows maximum distance from ceiling of 35.43" (900 mm) and maximum distance from ceiling of 70.87" (1800 mm)

Q: 10. I lost the t-knob that tightens the boom to the stand. Is there a link to the replacement part? Thank You.

A: The replacement knob for the stand adapter of this boom is the Matthews 5/16 Knurled T-Knob B&H # MAT516K. Please see the image below for reference.
