Love this G23 when working in a tight spot it provides great lighting and it stays where you put it
And it is rechargeable or works with alkaline batteries

I always carry a Coast A25R light on my hip, so I don't use this light quite as much as some might. It's kind the multi-tool of flashlights. When I'm working, an 11-in-1 screwdriver has become my "go-to" tool if I don't know what I'm getting into. It may not serve as well as a dedicated #2 Phillips or a dedicated 3/8" nut driver, but it will do a lot of things pretty well. This light is kind of the same way. It's small, and easy to get used to having in your pocket at all times. How many times have you ended up using the flashlight app on your smartphone? Those are the times when this light would be really handy!

Pros:
1-Decent little inspection light.
2-COB area light.
3-Red COB light for preserving night vision.
4-Handy magnet on pocket clip
5-Uses readily available AAA batteries.

Cons:
1-Not rechargeable. Between my cordless power tools and my
flashlights, headlamps, etc, I'm using lithium-ion batteries
everywhere! Not loving the alkaline!
2-Low lumen output on the inspection beam. I'm spoiled by my A25R.
3-COB and magnet on pocket clip look like afterthoughts. The COB
light is simply screwed on to the body of the light. Is the heat-shrink
over the magnet just to protect delicate finishes of ferrous objects
you might attach the light to, or is the heat-shrink the only thing
holding the magnet on?

Overall, it's a great little light, and I'd recommend it at the $30 price point. I was replacing a breaker tonight in an electrical panel, and this light was just the ticket for sticking to the open lid of the panel to help me see what I was doing. It made it quick and easy, without trying to hold a light in my teeth!

Great light for pocket carry. It's got a strong magnet and the ability to rotate the light while having it attached is a great feature. Strong inspection beam and the COB lights are even brighter! Built solid and won't break easily. I'm very pleased with everything I've got from Coast and will be with this one too.

I was asked to use and review this pen light. Combination Light.
I found this light to be very handy in doing inspections on different systems in residential and commercial settings. The main pen light beam produces a powerful narrow beam, handy for focusing on a small area. The multi led on the side of the product will definitely light up a much larger area with some intense light. The multi led will turn red if wanted in an ill lit area. I found this light to be a big help and sped up the work process.

Very versatile and easy to use flashlight. I am usually walking all day at work and this flashlight is easy to carry. The flashlight also is very good at shining a light for long distances exceeding 15ft.

I bought it 2 months and no disappointments here. Works great and that magnet is strong.

This G23 is fantastic. The inspection beam is the right brightness and while its not intended for long distances, it was pretty decent at 65' for a small affordable inspection light. The COB's on the side are great! Use the inspection beam to look at specific things, then turn on the COB's for a great flood lighting and clip it on shirt or coat, or use the magnet on the clip. The magnet on the clip is strong enough, no issues clipping it to hood of car, or a breaker box (just turn the clip on the housing to get the COB's pointed down or it will be a little bright in the eyes). The clip isn't designed for this, but I have removed the clip, put it on the other side and clipped it to my baseball cap - it worked! I have dropped it onto concrete from 4', 6', and even 11'. I certainly don't think its unbreakable; but for the price it is well built and again I really like the COB's on the side. Love the red lights when trying not to wake up others sleeping in the house at night or when working around chickens at night (keeps them on the roost).
