The Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The omnidirectional version is most common in applications where feedback issues are not very likely. The microphone can be worn without a windscreen as the omnidirectional capsule provides excellent wind noise rejection.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is black and features a Screw-on TA4-Female connector for Beyerdynamic/Mipro transmitters.

A miniature omnidirectional capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame with silicon ear pads. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included 2mm Diameter Duramax Cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters. The Duramax 2mm diameter cable provides extra strength, flexibility and durability.

The omnidirectional polar pattern is most effective in minimizing wind noise, plosives (popping) and handling noise. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning while minimizing off-axis noise. The E6i is also available in a cardioid version for maximum off-axis noise rejection in environments with high feedback and noise.

This E6i sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture general speech without noise and distortion.

Q: 1. Will it work with my iPad mini gen1 ? Is the sc7 cable mandatory to connect it to my iPad?

A: Yes Only with SC7 Cable.

Q: 2. I currently own a rode videomic go, would the videomicro be an upgrade in sound quality? If not, would the sound quality be about the same between both?

Q: 3. Will this work with a Sony RX10iv?

A: Yes, this mic has a standard connection that fits any camera with mic in jack

Q: 4. Can I use an XLR adapter with this microphone? I have a XLR cable and I am wondering if I can use this mic with it.

A: The VideoMicro relies on the low voltage 'plug-in-power' and this is only supplied via minijack connections, so an XLR connection won't be suitable.

Q: 5. does this mike work with shoe on HDRPJ580 CAMCORDER?

A: No, the Sony ECM-GZ1M is not compatible with the HDR-PJ580 camcorder. The ECM-GZ1M can only be used with Sony cameras that include their Multi Interface Shoe. It does not work with the Active Interface Shoe featured on the HDR-PJ580V.

Q: 6. Does it work with a desktop PC?

Q: 7. Is this compatible with the Sony FDR-AX53?

Q: 8. Is this Microphone compatible with the Nikon D5200, also will this mic be powerful enough or have enough reach for a documentary/vlog on a trip i'm taking? (I don't know a whole lot about frequency range)

A: I have a Nikon D5200 and I purchased this mic for that purpose. I have been using a battery powered Sony mic but I thought having a non-battery mic would be advantageous. I did some testing and the sound is quite good along with the build quality. Just make sure you are relatively close and make the proper adjustments in the video menu of the camera. Before you start on your documentary try some test clips/captures at different distances and see what works best - there will always be a compromise. I tried it on a Canon video camera (Vixia HFM52) but the camera doesn't appear to provide power through the 3.5mm jack. Good luck and have fun.

Q: 9. No longer have the original packaging for the VideoMicro, how do you find the serial number for warranty registration?

A: Rode microphones have their serial number written on a card included with the packaging. It is not written on the microphone itself.

Q: 10. if I use a Nikon d5300, how many minutes dose this take of film time?

A: I am not sure what you mean. Please email AskBH@a href= http://BHPhoto.com target= _blank BHPhoto.com/a with an explanation of your question.
