The 220V 24849EBI Tensioned Advantage Deluxe Electrol 45 x 80" Ceiling-Recessed Motorized Screen (fabric, roller, and motor available separately) from Da-Lite is designed to eliminate the extra step of finishing the screen with trim. The Advantage line of projection screens is designed with ceiling trim already in place. Once the screen is installed, the screen's trim conceals the rough opening in the ceiling, eliminating the need to complete additional trim work. Sliding installation brackets make it easy to attach the screen housing to the structure above the drop ceiling.

Tensioned screens ensure the smoothest surface possible, and the screen features a closure door that hides the open space and screen in the ceiling, providing a cleaner aesthetic. The screen features simple in-ceiling installation that can be done in two stages. The screen case can be installed during the rough-in construction stage, and the fabric assembly can be completed during the finishing stage.

Note: This box is part of a system. To complete the system you will also require the fabric, roller, and motor assembly. Purchasing the box first allows the box to be installed during the "rough-in" phase of construction. The screen and other components can then be installed once construction is complete. Please be sure to select the fabric, roller, and motor assembly with the exact size and features as designated by this box. The fabric, roller, and motor that goes with this model number is: 24849EFI.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What are the inside dimensions of the case? I have a mounting plate on the TV and need to know if the 40 TV will fit with the mounting plate attached.

A: The inside width is 5in. Although your mounting plate and TV might fit as a complete unit I would NOT recommend doing so. The plastic exterior would not be able to withstand any kind of blow on the mounting plate equivalent area which would cause harm to the TV. True there are two (2) vertical foam pads, that are three (3) inches wide, that run equidistant and vertically on either side of the TV cavity (which would leave the area for a mounting plate to be attached); however, that mounting plate area is unprotected. Huge risk there if you proceed.

Q: 2. Is there a space to store the base and pole from a monitor? Looks like it only fits the screen.

A: This has interior dimensions of 28.3 x 19 x 3.5". It will all depend on what the base and pole make the overall dimensions of the monitor.

Q: 3. For the Matthews Mini Boom (45-80 ), what is the weight capacity when the boom is fully extended?

A: It is 8 lbs maximum capacity at full extension.

Q: 4. Can this case fit a ViewSonic EP5542T 55" UHD monitor?

A: The Gator GLED4955ROTO Roto-Molded Case for LCD/LED Screens (49 to 55") is designed for standard 49-55" screens and would not be compatible with the kiosk design of the ViewSonic EP5542T 55" UHD 4K Portrait Touchscreen Kiosk Display.

Q: 5. Is that a standard gobo head used on the boom? Mine broke and need to replace. Thanks.

A: Thanks all. I contacted Matthews and learned that the head on the mini boom is identical to the standard matthews gobo head with one exception - the bolt is shorter on the mini boom head.

Q: 6. Can this be used with ultra throw projectors?

A: The Kodak 80" 16:9 Tripod Projector Screen (Matte White) BH #KO80T169PSMW would not be the best choice for use with UST projectors. When used with a UST projector, set the lamp brightness to low or eco mode.

Q: 7. Is this case sturdy enough to fly with?

A: Yes. You can fly with, B&H # (this item) GA1924RMCS. With it's Molded Polyethylene Shell it is more than sturdy enough to fly with.

Q: 8. can I ship my monitor and case via UPS and fed ex and feel safe that it won't get damaged in travel?

A: The case is strong, but the straps are not. After just one domestic shipment, the strap that keeps the case shut was damaged. Now we have to tape it shut with duct tape :(

Q: 9. Would it attach to Westcott Flex 1x1? They look exactly the same in size.

A: No it will not fit.

Q: 10. what is the best mathews c stand for this boom?

A: Any c-stand, junior roller, combo, hi-roller will work depending on how much leg spread you need to assist the counterbalance for a safe hold. In other words, say you have just a head on this boom, with a c-stand and proper sand bags, you would be just fine. But if you start to carry more weight, upsize the stand. The whole point with this boom, its small and compact, designed to fit in cramped spaces. When you start to carry more weight, invest in a Manfrotto Mega-boom. It needs a junior roller or similar, but its still fairly compact for for its abilities.
