The Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The omnidirectional version is most common in applications where feedback issues are not very likely. The microphone can be worn without a windscreen as the omnidirectional capsule provides excellent wind noise rejection.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is tan and features a 6-pin Hirose connector for Samson transmitters.

A miniature omnidirectional capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame with silicon ear pads. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin. For more information on which color earset suits you best, refer to the Countryman support page.

The included 2mm Diameter Duramax Cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters. The Duramax 2mm diameter cable provides extra strength, flexibility and durability.

The omnidirectional polar pattern is most effective in minimizing wind noise, plosives (popping) and handling noise. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning while minimizing off-axis noise. The E6i is also available in a cardioid version for maximum off-axis noise rejection in environments with high feedback and noise.

This E6i's sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture strong vocals without noise and distortion. The high headroom is well suited for singers and performers in stage and broadcast applications.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the S4H take Kessler Kwik Release plates?

A: While we have not tested this, since both systems claim to be Acra Swiss compatible, the S4H should be able to take the Kesseler Quick Release plates.

Q: 2. How do you remove this head if mounted on a tripod, so you can use fluid head on a monopod or other device?

A: If you are ordering this product (just the head), there is no need to remove it from anything as it is the head only. If the FM18 head is mounted to a tripod raise the center post and lock it. Look underneath the center post top cap and you will see two allen screws. Loosen these screws and the head will now twist off.

Q: 3. kinda new here...Is this head compatible with manfrotto 475b?

A: Yes, the Benro BV4 Video Head can mount to the 3/8"-16 screw on the center column offered in the Manfrotto 475B Pro Geared Tripod with Geared Column when removing the tie-down stud on the bottom of the Benro BV4 Video Head.

Q: 4. Can the Arca mounting plate be replaced with a Manfroto style?

A: Unfortunately, the Arca Type Clamp on the GH-M1 cannot be swapped for one that accept Manfrotto plates nor is there an adapter.

Q: 5. Does anyone use this with a canon 5D mark II? If so, how is it?

A: This should be just about right for the 5D Mark II and lens. That combination can be 4-8 lbs. and should be a sweet spot for the head. Reports are that it works well with much lighter cameras such as the Sony NEX 7 with success. Just be aware that while The S6 has adjustable counterbalance, tilt drag adjustment and pan/tilt locks, there is no pan drag adjustment. All in all however, you do get a lot of video head for the money.

Q: 6. What are the upgrades from the older S6 head to the S6Pro?

A: Many of the specs have remained the same. The pan and tilt ranges are the same as is the load capacity. It does however offer 5+0 steps of counterbalance compared to 3+0 Steps on the original S6 model. Also this model adds 1/4"-20 threaded holes on either side of the head to add accessories.

Q: 7. How well does this head move in cold temperatures? I am shooting in Yellowstone this winter.

A: This head functions well in cold weather environments.

Q: 8. Does this head is compatible to Manfrotto Xpro Section Monopod?

A: Yes it is. You can use this head with the Manfrotto XPRO Prime Base 3-Section Aluminum Monopod, BH #MAMMXPROA3BU.

Q: 9. Which quick release adapter works with this plate?

A: The plate that comes with this head is model 509PLONG. So the adapter you need would be the 577.

Q: 10. Will manfrotto pan bars attach to this head? In a perfect world I'd like to pair a manfrotto RC Pan Bar with this head...

A: More than likely it will not. Pan Bars tend to be specific to the manufacture or even to the head itself. That being said Manfrotto does offer B&H # MAMVR901APCL, which is a clamp to attach MAMVR901EPLA to a tripod's existing pan bar.https://bhpho.to/2xmQpeGhttps://bhpho.to/2nn5KFj
