The Countryman E6i Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The omnidirectional version is most common in applications where feedback issues are not very likely. The microphone can be worn without a windscreen as the omnidirectional capsule provides excellent wind noise rejection.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is black and features a 4-pin Twist-lock connector for specific* Sony transmitters.

A miniature omnidirectional capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame with silicon ear pads. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin. For more information on which color earset suits you best, refer to the Countryman support page.

The included 2mm Diameter Duramax Cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters. The Duramax 2mm diameter cable provides extra strength, flexibility and durability.

The omnidirectional polar pattern is most effective in minimizing wind noise, plosives (popping) and handling noise. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning while minimizing off-axis noise. The E6i is also available in a cardioid version for maximum off-axis noise rejection in environments with high feedback and noise.

This E6i's sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture strong vocals without noise and distortion. The high headroom is well suited for singers and performers in stage and broadcast applications.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Why Sirui specifies weight as 0.8 kg with ball-head and other people say it's 1 kg?

A: Sirui lists the T-25SK T-0S Series Travel Tripod with B-00 Ball Head (Black, Carbon Fiber) as 0.9kg. They are probably rounding down the number slightly while we list it as 1kg because we rounded up.

Q: 2. Can you use this tripod/ball head with RRS L-plate (attached to a Fuji XT-20)? Do you need any other accessory to use it?

A: if it is Arca - Swiss compatible, yes

Q: 3. what is the difference between this and the Manfrotto BeFree compact travel aluminum tripod?

A: Much better ball head. I mean much. I prefer to carbon versions for be free advance. But price almost double. For carbon version be free compact price is more reasonable. Just 50$ extra. But for me I would never think about compact version, ball head just too weak even for A7 3

Q: 4. Does this work with the Sony A1 Camera?

A: Yes Manfrotto Befree Advanced Travel Aluminum Tripod with 494 Ball Head (Lever Locks, Black) is compatible with the Sony A1 camera.

Q: 5. Is it possible to unscrew the ball head and screw in a seperate Manfrotto Befree Live Video Head so that you get the best of both worlds when needing to shoot both stills and video?

A: The ball head is removable. The bare tripod has a 3/8 inch threaded male mount for attaching different heads.

Q: 6. I have a Manfrotto Befree Advanced Travel Aluminum Tripod with 494 Ball Head (Twist Locks, Red), does it work on Canon R5 body? Can I just use the 200PL RC2 type arca-Swiss plate or need to use something else, like RRS plate?

A: Success with the 494 ball head and the R5 will depend on the lens you're using. Heavier combinations, like the 100-500mm and 28-70mm f/2 might see limited success when the ball head is used in various positions. The 494 ball head does not accept arca-swiss style plates. However, the 200PLPro plate that comes with it is compatible with arca-swiss ball heads (it's weird, I know). The 494 will accept 200PL and 200PLPro plates, so it will work on an R5 without an RRS plate or L-bracket.

Q: 7. This ball head, Is it possible to install Joby UltraFit Hand Strap with UltraPlate ?

A: No, it is not. The Manfrotto 200PL-Pro Aluminium Plate included with the Manfrotto 494 Ball Head on the Manfrotto Befree Advanced Travel Aluminum Tripod is a specially designed quick release plate; it is compatible with both the Manfrotto RC2 Quick Release System and the Arca-Swiss Quick Release System. However, the Manfrotto 494 Ball Head on the Manfrotto Befree Advanced Travel Aluminum Tripod is ONLY compatible with Manfrotto's RC2 quick release plates and the aforementioned 200PL-Pro plate; the head itself is NOT compatible with Arca-Swiss type quick release plates. As such, no, the Joby UltraFit Hand Strap with UltraPlate would not be compatible for use with the Manfrotto Befree Advanced Travel Aluminum Tripod.

Q: 8. Will the plate on this work with a Canon sx 40 bridge camera?

A: Yes the tripod plat is compatible.

Q: 9. has anyone actually weighed their tripod? is it actually 2.2lbs? I've seen in other Sirui tripods that people have said the tripod is heavier than advertised.

A: It is 1.8lbs without the head & 2.2 lbs with head

Q: 10. Is this available as the legs only , no ballhead?

A: Unfortunately not. We only currently carry this model with the ball head.
