The Countryman E6i Cardioid Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The cardioid version effectively minimizes off-axis feedback and noise from nearby monitor speakers, instruments and noisy sources. Flexible microphone positioning is maintained and the included windscreen minimizes the wind noise often associated with cardioid microphones.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is tan and features a 4-pin Mini Screw-on connector for use with Mipro wireless transmitters.

A miniature cardioid capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters. The Duramax 2mm diameter cable provides extra strength, flexibility and durability.

The cardioid polar pattern is effective in minimizing off-axis residual noise from e nearby monitor speakers, instruments and loud sources. The result is increased signal-to-noise ratio and minimal feedback. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning. The E6i is also available in an omnidirectional version for maximum control over wind noise and plosives (popping).

This E6i sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture speaking and vocals without noise and distortion.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this compatible with a Tamron 100-600 lens?

A: Yes, the gimbal head and included quick release plate is compatible with the Tamron 150-600mm lens.

Q: 2. Two questions: 1) Is this head counterbalanced? 2) Will this be plug and play on a Benro Slim tripod? Thanks in advance.

A: It is not counterbalanced, and yes, as long as it has a 1/4 mounting screw then it will work on your Benro.

Q: 3. Can anyone recommend a flash bracket for this

A: This Wimberley F-1 Telephoto Combo Flash Bracket is a great option. You would need to get a plate that is long and will stick out the front of the foot of your lens. It would need to be a plate that is double dovetail like most Wimberley plates are. The Wimberley flash bracket will go in the front of the plate as it sticks out the front of the gimbal. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/240877-REG/Wimberley_F_1_Telephoto_Combo.html

Q: 4. Will either Manfrotto's 200 PL or 200LT PL work on this head? I really want something smaller on my Lumix GH5. Thanks in advance!

A: They will not, this head uses the 501PL system. Instead you can look at the Manfrotto MHXPRO which is a Pan and Tilt head that uses a 200PL-14 Quick Release plate. https://bhpho.to/2badq6r

Q: 5. I know this is primarily for video but is it stable enough for long-exposure and time-lapse video and photography?

A: Yes it is.

Q: 6. Has anyone tried the Really Right Stuff PG-CC Cradle Clamp for Gimbal Tripod Heads (BH #REPGCC) with this head?

A: To our knowledge the RRS PG-CC has only been tested with the Wimberley WH200 II, so the results may vary when using it with the Benro GH2.

Q: 7. I presently have a Benro A1192TB0 Travel Flat II Tripod. Will this gimbal head work with it?

A: I neglected to mention I have a Nikon D750 and a Nikon 200-500 F/5.6 lens.

Q: 8. How wide is it (from the center of plate?) Will it fit the wide 400 f2.8 IS i ?

A: Yes, the Canon Telephoto EF 400mm f/2.8L IS Image Stabilizer USM Autofocus Lens (B&H# RBC40028LISE) could fit in the Magnus GH-M1 Gimbal Head (B&H# MAGHM1) if placed far enough forward in the clamp for the lens plate. However, that may not leave the camera and lens well balanced. We'd recommend the Oben GH-30 Gimbal Head (B&H# OBGH30): https://bhpho.to/3Ataa1T If your budget allows, the top of the line in this genre is the Wimberley WH-200 Gimbal Tripod Head II with Quick Release Base (B&H# WITHQRQ): https://bhpho.to/3yxU0DV

Q: 9. I have a Benro adventure 2 series tripod. Will this work on it?

A: Yes, the Benro GH2 Aluminum Gimbal Head would be comaptible for use on a Benro Series 2 Adventure Aluminum Tripod.

Q: 10. what is the size of the PL100 plate that is included with the Benro head?

A: 3 15/16x1.5 inches
