The black E6 Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Medium Gain, with Detachable 1mm Cable and Hirose 4-Pin Connector for Audio-Technica Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one-tenth ounce. It is a water- and wind-resistant microphone that can be used on either ear for capturing audio in houses of worship, theater, or outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional E6 Earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers forget they're wearing a mic. Three sensitivity options cover general speaking to extremely powerful vocals and four color options allow you to match the E6 to your skin tone for minimum visibility.

In addition, the E6 Earset features three omni caps (very bright +8 dB, bright +4 dB, and flat +0 dB) that deliver response characteristics for most other applications such as recording flute and violin. The E6 Earset is available as a directional microphone too with cardioid and hypercardioid caps. This omnidirectional E6 Earset's cable terminates to a Hirose 4-pin connector for direct connection to an Audio-Technica ATW-T35, ATW-T75, ESW-T211, ATW-T601, ATW-T701, AEW-T1000, AEW-T1000a, or ATW-T1001 wireless bodypack transmitter for use with 600 Series, 700 Series, 1000 Series, 1200 Series, 4000 Series, 5000 Series, 7000 Series, or System 10 wireless systems.

The Countryman E6 head-worn Earset is small and lightweight, and is hardly visible from a distance.

The E6 Earset's stainless steel boom is built tough and can be bent and re-bent many times to fit different performers. The E6 is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps.

The flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face and is available in multiple skin tones. Their protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones; caps for the directional earset adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid. Choose a sensitivity for speaking or singing with up to 140 dB SPL capability.

The E6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion and an SPL of up to 140 dB. It delivers rich, full band audio quality.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a position for rejecting unwanted sounds. Countryman's omnidirectional Earset offers a reduction of 12 dB compared to a lavalier mic, while the directional E6 Earset provides even more isolation. Excellent for houses of worship, theater, and outdoor events.

An E6 replacement cable installs in seconds. The snap-on cables are rugged and available for almost any wireless transmitter or for XLR inputs with phantom power.

For speaking and vocals.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the GY-HM170ua use the same batteries as the GY-LS300? I have the ls300 and extra batteries and it would be great if I could use those batteries on the HM170.

A: The GY-HM170UA does not use the same batteries as the GY-LS300. Consider the GY-HM200 instead, which is essentially the same camera as the GY-HM170UA, but uses the same battery as the GY-LS300 instead.

Q: 2. Do you guys offer financing on this?

A: No, sorry. I'm cash/paypal only. Paul R.

Q: 3. What resolution and frame rate does the HDMI port output?

A: The HDMI output is able to send up to a UHD 4K signal at 30fps. It can also output HD at up to 60fps.

Q: 4. Does is support LANC?

A: Yes, the HM170UA can interface with a LANC controller. See the attached for a suggested controller.

Q: 5. Can I change the ISO on this camcorder? I know it’s not a low light camera but can I do anything to help the issue?

A: Unfortunately no. If you are looking to set your light meter, you can set it to ISO 800.

Q: 6. can it be connected to a tv

A: yes you can

Q: 7. Can you output a clean 4K signal at 30p through the HDMI connector while not recording?

A: Yes, you can output a clean 4K signal at 30p through the HDMI connector while not recording.

Q: 8. Has anyone used the JVC GY-HM170 for performance work? What are your thoughts?

A: I used it for filming part of a movie 8 Ball Clown and am planning to use it as primary camera for 8 Ball Clown II - I like the quality, not a low light camera, the manual operation takes a bit to get used to but then again all of them do. I bought 2 extra batteries and 128G cards, so I should be able to film quite a bit without stopping. The onboard sound is pretty good - I'm probably adding wireless mics, but its good. I use Bose headphones so I can get better sound and adjust volume. note most of the movie was filmed on a canon t2i - because I just wasn't ready to switch because I had not touched the camera - but I'm more comfortable with it and will practice to get used to it. I did some minor filming for commercials in 4k and that went well - but that was outside in bright light. I will always use a dslr in low low light.I edit in Final Cut - so the video output is easy to bring in and edit - one of the reasons I went with this camera.

Q: 9. can it be film in 25p or 50p?

A: Yes. It will film in 25p as well as 50i and 50p.

Q: 10. Does this have the option to burn timestamp into image for legal video purposes?

A: Yes it does.
