Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. does this lens work with d7000 Nikon?

A: Yes! Works like a champ!

Q: 2. Has anyone had any problem getting such a large lens through customs into a foreign country? Any thoughts about going through differently that regular hand held luggage?

A: You should not have issues going through Customs with a large lens, though if you are concerned I suggest contacting the local office of where you are traveling to confirm. It is not advised to store lenses in checked baggage, and you should only travel with camera equipment in a secure storage setting like a carry on bag.

Q: 3. Will this lens work for a Nikon D300?

A: The Nikon AF-S 18-55mm lens is compatible with the D300, yes.

Q: 4. Does this work with the Nikon D5100?

A: Yes, it is 100% compatible.

Q: 5. I'm ready to purchase, but would like to know what's the warranty on the lens, and who covers it? Thanks

A: The USA lens would come with Nikon USAs warranty, which would be a 5-year warranty (first year international, remaining four years USA only). The Imported lens would come with a one-year warranty from B&H.

Q: 6. Is this suitable for a D200 ?

A: As near as I can tell from this description, yes. Unlike regular AF lenses these lenses have a built-in focus motor and can be used on any camera body whether the body has a focus motor or not. Required for Autofocus operation with the D5300, D5200, D5100, D5000, D3300, D3200, D3100, D3000, D60, D40X, and D40. So the autofocus won't work on a D200.

Q: 7. Does this lens work for a Nikon D7000?

A: The D7000 uses DX lens. When you look at a list of Nikon lenses, those made specifically for the D7000 & the D7001 are designated with a DX as this one does, AF-S DX.....

Q: 8. Is there a teleconverter that will work with this lens?

A: The Nikon AF-S 70-300mm lens would only be compatible with a third party teleconverter, such as one from Bower or Kenko, however please note that you will lose autofocus using a teleconverter with this lens. Compatible teleconverters can be found here: http://bhpho.to/1d29DH3

Q: 9. Hi this lens is vr 2 and made in which country

A: Thailand.

Q: 10. Please recommend me low light lense?

A: If you are looking for a telephoto zoom lens for low-light photography needs, then the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II Lens, B&H # NI7020028, would work for your needs. The Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 Di LD (IF) Macro AF Lens for Nikon AF, B&H # TA7020028MN, is the most economical option that has a constant f/2.8 aperture for low light telephoto zoom needs. If you are simply looking for an inexpensive low-light lens, and it does not have to be a telephoto lens or a zoom lens, then the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G Lens, B&H # NI5018GAF, would work for your needs.
