The Countryman E6i Cardioid Microphone is a miniature ear-set microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The cardioid version effectively minimizes off-axis feedback and noise from nearby monitor speakers, instruments and noisy sources. Flexible microphone positioning is maintained and the included windscreen minimizes the wind noise often associated with cardioid microphones.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is beige and features a 1/8" Locking-mini connector for use with Sony wireless transmitters.

A miniature cardioid capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters. The Duramax 2mm diameter cable provides extra strength, flexibility and durability.

The cardioid polar pattern is effective in minimizing off-axis residual noise from e nearby monitor speakers, instruments and loud sources. The result is increased signal-to-noise ratio and minimal feedback. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning. The E6i is also available in an omnidirectional version for maximum control over wind noise and plosives (popping).

This E6i's sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture strong vocals without noise and distortion. The high headroom is well suited for singers and performers in stage and broadcast applications.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will these extension tubes give me the magnification needed to take pictures of snowflakes while mounted on EF-S 18-55mm canon lens?

A: You would want to use a macro with bellows or a macro with these tubes for that much magnification. you will get as close as you would like with just the tube set for snowflakes no.

Q: 2. How is the image quality using those Extention Tubes vs a micro lens? In other words, does the tube degrade image quality vs bare lens?

A: A real macro lens has some advantages over a "standard lens" and extension tubes. If your subject is perfectly flat (a postage stamp, for instance), a real macro lens (one designed to focus 1:1 scale or close to it) will be sharper in the corners. If the subject has depth (like probably 99% of the stuff you take pictures of with a macro lens), then you NEVER have enough depth-of-focus. If you want even a few millimeters of the subject in focus at 1:1 scale, you need to set the lens to a REALLY small aperture. My Nikon macro lenses have an f32 setting. Most standard lenses can only stop down to f16. f32 is a big advantage. Using an extension tube to increase magnification just increases your need to use smaller and smaller apertures to keep anything in focus. BUT... a 50mm to 100mm prime lens and ext. tubes is still a great way to get high-magnification shots. You would have to take a lot of close-up images to justify the difference in cost between tubes and a real 105mm macro lens. I would certainly just use tubes and a 50mm lens while saving up for a 105mm macro. Don't waste your money on a macro shorter than 100mm. The extra subject to lens distance you get with 100+mm focal length is really important to good subject lighting, among many other things.

Q: 3. Does this set retain aperture control?

A: You should retain aperture and shutter control through the camera body.

Q: 4. Will this work with my Sony A7rii and 16 - 35 mm lens?

A: No they wont. The A7 series lenses are E-Mount, and these tubes are for the A-Mount lenses.I would like to add that if you can find these tubes for E- Mounted lenses, Id recommend that you get them. Ive got no complaints at all with my A-Mount set....

Q: 5. Can I still auto focus with this unit?

A: Yes, it has full electronic communication but when shooting macro/close up, it is very difficult to achieve autofocus at such close range. It is much better to manually focus when shooting macro.

Q: 6. Does it communicate VR function?

A: Yes the VR function works with these tubes.

Q: 7. Are these compatible with Nikon D3500 and the 18-55mm lens that comes with it?

A: Yes, they are compatible with your camera and lens.

Q: 8. Will these extensions work with a Lensbaby Velvet 85? Thank you.

A: Yes, Vello Auto Extension Tube Set for Canon EF/EF-S Mounts and Lenses will work with a Lenbaby 85 that has Canon EF mount.

Q: 9. If I'm going to use a Canon lens on a Sony camera am I better to get the Canon-mount extension tube and put it before the adapter, or a Sony-mount extension tube, and put it after the adapter? Any functional difference? Thanks.

A: I would suggest the EF extension tubes with a Canon to sony adapter. You will have to set your aperture manually. FotodioX Canon EF Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera Pro Fusion Smart AF Adapter Enables Autofocus and Auto Exposure (BH #FOEOSANEXP). You will experience light loss as you increase the tube length.

Q: 10. I just purchased these and seen to be having an issue with the aperture rings not engaging far enough without shimming them 1/16 if stacked. I get the error EEf. Is there a way to adjust this or do I need to exchange them?

A: INSTALL A TUBE ON THE LENS FIRST. THEN INSTALL LENS AND TUBEASSEMBLY TO CAMERA. CHECK ALIGNMENT DOT ON ASSEMBLY WITHCAMERA BEFORE ROTATING AND LOCKING TO CAMERA.
