The cocoa E6 Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Medium Gain, with Detachable 2mm Cable and Hirose 4-Pin Connector for Audio-Technica Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one-tenth ounce. It is a water- and wind-resistant microphone that can be used on either ear for capturing audio in houses of worship, theater, or outdoor vocal and speech applications.
The low-profile, omnidirectional E6 Earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers forget they're wearing a mic. Three sensitivity options cover general speaking to extremely powerful vocals and four color options allow you to match the E6 to your skin tone for minimum visibility.
In addition, the E6 Earset features three omni caps (very bright +8 dB, bright +4 dB, and flat +0 dB) that deliver response characteristics for most other applications such as recording flute and violin. The E6 Earset is available as a directional microphone too with cardioid and hypercardioid caps. This omnidirectional E6 Earset's cable terminates to a Hirose 4-pin connector for direct connection to an Audio-Technica ATW-T1801, ATW-T27, ATW-T31, ATW-T51, ATW-T201, ATW-T210, ATW-T210a, ATW-T310, or ATW-T310b wireless bodypack transmitter for use with 200 Series, 1100 Series, 1400 Series, 1800 Series, 2000 Series, 2000A Series, 3000 Series, or 3000A Series wireless systems.

The Countryman E6 head-worn Earset is small and lightweight, and is hardly visible from a distance.
The E6 Earset's stainless steel boom is built tough and can be bent and re-bent many times to fit different performers. The E6 is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps.
The flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face and is available in multiple skin tones. Their protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones; caps for the directional earset adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid. Choose a sensitivity for speaking or singing with up to 140 dB SPL capability.
The E6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion and an SPL of up to 140 dB. It delivers rich, full band audio quality.
Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a position for rejecting unwanted sounds. Countryman's omnidirectional Earset offers a reduction of 12 dB compared to a lavalier mic, while the directional E6 Earset provides even more isolation. Excellent for houses of worship, theater, and outdoor events.
An E6 replacement cable installs in seconds. The snap-on cables are rugged and available for almost any wireless transmitter or for XLR inputs with phantom power.
For speaking and vocals.

Q: 3. Whats your opinion on the HM170UA vs the Canon XA20. Obviously the canon is only HD.I like the touch screen for focus and facial recognition. I'm mainly looking to film weddings. So low light is a concern and accurate focus. Can anyone voice an opinion on these questions / concerns? Thanks!
A: The impression I get with this camera is that it is a deal. It has features that just a few years ago were impossible to get at all, let alone under $1300. It has XLR mic inputs, 4K, 4:2:2 1080p Video up to 60p at 50 Mbps, built in ND filters, and independent gain control. Those features are a steal in this price range. It appears however that the videographer has to bring skill for shooting in low light. You have to recognize the difference between low light and bad light. No camera is going to make bad light look good. Be ready for using an on camera light. You do not have to use it full blast, just enough to a pleasant low key exposure. The Canon XA20, on the other hand, has big fans for it's quality of manufacture, features, reliability and image quality. If you do not want 4K, that might be the way to go.
Q: 4. does it connect to a computer with a USB?
A: Hello is very easy takes a USB cable standard connectors are not mini if not normal and connect it to the USB port of your computer you must cerciorate in the menu of the camera that is in USB function and PC identifies the tarejta of the camera.
Q: 5. the camcorder include JVC Top Handle Unit with XLR and Audio Control for GY-HM170?
A: Yes.
Q: 6. Does this have slow motion and fast motion recording function?
A: The JVC GY-HM170UA does not have a specific function for slow or fast motion, but when recording in 60 frames per second (fps), a video could be slowed down in editing, if using a 30 fps or 24 fps project. Any video could also be sped up in editing.
Q: 7. Please, does it come with a lens cap?
A: no
Q: 8. If the camera were to run out of battery (or get unplugged) would the video recorded be lost?
A: The video recorded on the SD card will not be lost if the camera loses power. This is the same for all video camera's.
Q: 9. When shooting 4k can the HDMI output be set to 1080p? My monitor can't take a 4k signal and I was wondering if it will work with this camera when shooting 4k.
A: The highest resolution I could manage to do is: 1920X10804K setting is not available according to the menu. I really wonder that 4K is on the card or not. We should ask JVC directly.
Q: 10. How do you consider the video quality that is made in low light conditions? In front of the competition this item is in negative rating in the reviews. Thank you.
A: Not bad for the price, low light needs improvement
