The 482XL Balanced/Unbalanced Stereo Audio Transcoder from Comprehensive/Kramer is an audio transcoder designed for use with balanced and unbalanced stereo audio signals. It will simultaneously convert balanced signals to unbalanced and vice versa. The unit features terminal block connectors and level (gain) control with independent left and right control. Moreover, it belongs to the Kramer TOOLS family of products and up to (3) of these units can be mounted side by side in 1U of a standard equipment rack when used in conjunction with the separately available RK-3T rack kit.

A: Yes it does. This microphone features an auto-powering feature which keeps you from draining battery when the camera is not in use. When connected to your camera, the VideoMic Pro Plus detects plug-in power from the audio input on compatible cameras, and this signals the microphone to switch on. When the mic detects a loss in power, either from powering off or disconnecting the camera, the mic shuts off.
