Q: 1. Is this compatible with a Nikon Z5?

A: Yes this Pluto Trigger Kit is compatible with the Nikon Z5.

Q: 2. Dies it work with 70-200mm f2.8 GII ED?

A: The GII is an earlier model than the newer ED version of Nikons 70-200 2.8 VR. If you have the older model, this lens foot will not fit properly. RRS makes a lens foot specifically for the G version.

Q: 3. Is this device compatible with the Nikon D780?

A: Yes, this is would be compatible with the Nikon D780.

Q: 4. I'm trying to figure out which Pluto trigger kit to get for my D7000. Can anyone help?

A: If you go to the Pluto trigger site and look at the cable compatibility chart. It will tell you which cable to get with the trigger. The way B&H has them listed is the trigger with each cable independently.

Q: 5. Could this receive an infrared signal from the Foldio360, and thus trigger a Fuji X100T?

A: The Pluto Trigger is not a receiver; it is an infrared transmitter. It can be used to trigger the Foldio 360, or it may be used to trigger the Fujifilm X100T with the included Vello 2.5mm Remote Shutter Release Cable for Select Fujifilm Cameras, but not both at the same time. As the Fuji X100T does not have an infrared sensor, it only works with the Pluto Trigger when the Pluto Trigger is connected to the camera's remote terminal via the Vello 2.5mm Remote Shutter Release Cable for Select Fujifilm Cameras. When it is plugged into the camera to operate as a wired remote, it will not operate as an infrared remote.

Q: 6. The RRS LCF-11 seems way over priced. I can get the, Kirk LP-64 Replacement Lens Foot for Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR Lens for $80. Does anyone know if their is a just cause for a $40 difference?

A: I have both the RRS on my 500PF and the Kirk on my 70-200mm. Both are first rate. The RRS has the ability to use the Magpul QD strap which the Kirk does not. Is it worth the extra $40? It is to me.

Q: 7. Does the kit include all manufacturer supplied accessories?

A: Yes. The kit includes: Laser Pointer PC Sync Cable Shoe Mount Adapter USB Cable Drawstring Bag Limited 1-Year Warranty plus the Vello 2.5mm Remote Shutter Release Cable for Nikon Dc-2 cameras

Q: 8. Is it compatible with SONY HVL-45RM FLASH

A: Hi, this unit is only compatible with flashes that have a PC sync connection and this flash does not have that, so it is not compatible.

Q: 9. Will the remote fire a continuous burst when triggered via the laser? Or triggered via the button with the accessory IR transceiver?

A: The Pluto has a Burst mode. It is not very good in that the camera may not respond quickly enough to get the burst you want. That being said what there is a way if you only need 2 seconds and your camera has a burst mode. In the settings you can set the Pluto software to a Slow triggering camera which is equivalent to holding down the shutter. Settings are 0, 150ms, 1s, & 2s. If you set it to 2 seconds you will get a 2 second burst at whatever rate your camera is capable of doing. My Canon 7Dmk2 shot 16 exposures in that time using this function.

Q: 10. Will this foot prevent accidental release?

A: Yes it will
