The Countryman E6i Cardioid Microphone is a miniature ear-set microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The cardioid version effectively minimizes off-axis feedback and noise from nearby monitor speakers, instruments and noisy sources. Flexible microphone positioning is maintained and the included windscreen minimizes the wind noise often associated with cardioid microphones.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is beige and features a Switchcraft TA4F connector for use with Sabine wireless transmitters.

A miniature cardioid capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters. The Duramax 2mm diameter cable provides extra strength, flexibility and durability.

The cardioid polar pattern is effective in minimizing off-axis residual noise from e nearby monitor speakers, instruments and loud sources. The result is increased signal-to-noise ratio and minimal feedback. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning. The E6i is also available in an omnidirectional version for maximum control over wind noise and plosives (popping).

This E6i's sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture general speech without noise and distortion.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can these be used on a canon 60mm EFS 2.8 lenson a canon mark 2 or mark 3If so is there any problems with vignetting??

A: Technically you could mount the extension tube between the APS-C format (EF-S) lens you have and your full-frame camera, however we do no regularly encourage this combination as it will likely cause vignetting.

Q: 2. Will this work with my Canon 6D? Can it also be used with Lensbaby?

A: Yes, the extension tube set is compatible with the 6D and the Lensbaby.

Q: 3. Is Vello AF tube compatible with following combination of Camera + LenaCamera: Canon 70DLens1 : Tamron 90mm Macro without VCLens2 : Canon 18-55 EF-s

A: Yes, the Vello Auto Extension Tube Set for Canon EOS is compatible with the Canon 70D and Tamron Macro 90mm and Canon 18-55mm EF-S lenses.

Q: 4. will this work with the eos xsi efs 18-55 and the 75-250 lense ?

A: Kenko DGs should work fine with all EF and EF-S lens and camera combinations, same combinations as without the tubes. Note that magnification increase will be less with longer focal lengths. The math; extension tube length divided by lens focal length = magnification increase. This increase gets added to the lens' native magnification.Barely worth mounting up to your 75-250 especially when zoomed out, should be exceptional with your 18-55.Depth of field gets very very thin at close focus/high magnification, expect to stop down on a tripod and focus stack. Subjects in motion like bugs, flowers swaying in the breeze are tough subjects, done every day though, obviously not impossible.

Q: 5. If I am using two RED Komodos and a MixPre-3 II simultaneously, can I get away with one unit?

A: Sure, you can use a single Tentacle Sync E mkII Timecode Generator with Bluetooth 5.0 (Single Set) to jam sync multiple devices.

Q: 6. I have a Canon 18-135 zoom and want to use it to digitize 35mm slides. Will these work for that and get the image large enough to fill the frame?

A: Yes.

Q: 7. Will this work with a flash?

A: A standard hot shoe flash will be somewhat ineffective when using extension tubes. I advise you to use a ring light instead, which are designed for use with macro photography, such as the Stellar Lighting Systems STL-80R: http://bhpho.to/1jMiGMe
