Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Might image quality improve by replacing the supplied zoom eyepiece with a standard eyepiece?

A: Yes, the image can be improved, depending on the quality of your aftermarket eyepiece. A 1.25" eyepiece adapter with retaining screw is included with the C70 Mini Mak, which screws onto the eyepiece cover threads* (*NOT T-mount compatible). All you have to do is unscrew the zoom eyepiece from the scope, install the provided 1.25" adapter and drop in your replacement eyepiece.

Q: 2. What exactly can you see in detail with a telescope like this? Do you just see the moon in more detail, or can you actually see a bit more of the solar system? Sorry, unexperienced person here.

A: So it really all depends on where you live, and the light pollution. If you are in an area where there there is a lot of Light Pollution then you really won't see much. The Scope is an excellent Scope. If you are in an area with little to no light pollution, then yes this would be an excellent choice.

Q: 3. Can i use this with a PC laptop instead of smartphone?

A: Hi,The telescope works through the free app SkyPortal, which is downloadable on iPhone or iPad or android phones. No app is made for pc or laptop as of my recollection. Good luck

Q: 4. Can a t adapter be used with this to take pictures with camera?

A: Yes you can,

Q: 5. Can the 45 prism be changed?

A: NO, the 45 degree angled cannot be changed

Q: 6. Is the dc jack that is on the telescope is of non-standard length ? I couldn't fit any of the existing 12v dc power adapters that I had. Do telescopes have a different jack length ? Is there a way I can use the standard 12v dc power supply with it (using some connectors perhaps ?) . Standard dc jack length is 10mm, while this telescope requires around 13mm. Is that correct ?

A: The Celestron AC to DC Power Adapter (BH #CEACDCPA • MFR #18778) is the correct power adapter for the Celestron Astro Fi 102mm f/13 Maksutov-Cassegrain Telescope. This is a 12 volt 2A with a 5.5mm DC plug on the end. This plug has an inner diameter of 2.1mm (.08"), and a length of 10mm - 15mm (.39" - .59").

Q: 7. c70 mini scope connect to a digital camera?

A: It is easy to connect a usb webcam though, eg Logitec.

Q: 8. In the absence of battery or power adapter, can this telescope still be adjusted manually if required ?

A: No, it is not possible to fully adjust the Celestron Astro Fi 102mm f/13 Maksutov-Cassegrain Telescope without power. One needs power for the motorized alt-az mount to adjust the azimuth axis.

Q: 9. Hi. does this come with theSkyX - First Light Edition software?

A: Yes it comes with the software.

Q: 10. How we can connect one photo machine to the Celestron Astro Fi 102mm f/13 Maksutov-Cassegrain Telescope ?

A: If you are referring to Photography cameras we have a number of different T-Mount adapter for a variety of cameras. https://bhpho.to/2njCYde
