The beige E6 Omnidirectional Earset Mic, Highest Overload, with Detachable 2mm Cable and Hirose 4-Pin Connector for Audio-Technica Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one-tenth ounce. It is a water- and wind-resistant microphone that can be used on either ear for capturing audio in houses of worship, theater, or outdoor vocal and speech applications.
The low-profile, omnidirectional E6 Earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers forget they're wearing a mic. Three sensitivity options cover general speaking to extremely powerful vocals and four color options allow you to match the E6 to your skin tone for minimum visibility.
In addition, the E6 Earset features three omni caps (very bright +8 dB, bright +4 dB, and flat +0 dB) that deliver response characteristics for most other applications such as recording flute and violin. The E6 Earset is available as a directional microphone too with cardioid and hypercardioid caps. This omnidirectional E6 Earset's cable terminates to a Hirose 4-pin connector for direct connection to an Audio-Technica ATW-T35, ATW-T75, ESW-T211, ATW-T601, ATW-T701, AEW-T1000, AEW-T1000a, or ATW-T1001 wireless bodypack transmitter for use with 600 Series, 700 Series, 1000 Series, 1200 Series, 4000 Series, 5000 Series, 7000 Series, or System 10 wireless systems.

The Countryman E6 head-worn Earset is small and lightweight, and is hardly visible from a distance.
The E6 Earset's stainless steel boom is built tough and can be bent and re-bent many times to fit different performers. The E6 is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps.
The flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face and is available in multiple skin tones. Their protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones; caps for the directional earset adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid. Choose a sensitivity for speaking or singing with up to 140 dB SPL capability.
The E6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion and an SPL of up to 140 dB. It delivers rich, full band audio quality.
Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a position for rejecting unwanted sounds. Countryman's omnidirectional Earset offers a reduction of 12 dB compared to a lavalier mic, while the directional E6 Earset provides even more isolation. Excellent for houses of worship, theater, and outdoor events.
An E6 replacement cable installs in seconds. The snap-on cables are rugged and available for almost any wireless transmitter or for XLR inputs with phantom power.
For strong vocals.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Does it have a headphones output?
A: Yes. It's on the back.
Q: 2. Can the HM170UA output a live stream just like the HM200 with just a WiFi dongle by connecting to an IP and directly live stream from camera or is the live stream capability only available through the HDMI?
A: The HM170UA does not have the same streaming capabilities as the HM200, you would not be able to connect a dongle directly to it. However it does have a clean HDMI output, so you could set it up for streaming with a capture or streaming device with an HDMI input.
Q: 3. I wrote a review of this camera that has never appeared here !!! ????
A: I am sorry you're review on this product has not yet been posted. We receive many reviews each day and have to read and approve them all before they can be published. We do our best to get them posted as soon as possible.
Q: 4. Can you output a clean 4K signal at 30p through the HDMI connector while not recording?
A: Yes, you can output a clean 4K signal at 30p through the HDMI connector while not recording.
Q: 5. Has the JVC GY-HM170 got a wireless remote control?
A: No
Q: 6. Does this superimpose the time date stamp onto the sd card? Is the time date stamp passed through either the sdi or hdmi during live recording?
A: The HM170UA does have a time stamp available in the recording settings. You can also output SDI or HDMI with the normal screen information on or off.
Q: 7. does it have an sdi output? if yes can it output 3g sdi and also, does it have a micro usb port?
A: I bought 5 of the JVC GY-HM170 and I love them but also have needed SDI output. The 170's do not have an SDI output like the more expensive 200's but I found a cheaper work around, I bought the DECIMATOR MD-HX Miniature HDMI/SDI Cross Converter with Scaling & Frame Rate Conversion (B&H # DEDDHX MFR # DD-HX) for $295 and it works great. It is still cheaper than buying a HM200 and the Decimator does more. I believe the 170's do have a micro USB port, but I have not needed that. Hope this helps.
Q: 8. can this be used to do web video broadcasting through usb cable?
A: Not directly, but if you use something like the UltraStudio Mini Recorder by Blackmagicdesign it will work. That's what I'm using and it works great. I use an HDMI cable from the camera to that box and a thunderbolt cable from the box to my Mac Book Pro.
Q: 9. Is there a delay setting to sync video with audio when inputting audio from a mixer that has some latency?
A: No, you would use your editing program to sync audio with video.
Q: 10. Has anyone used the JVC GY-HM170 for performance work? What are your thoughts?
A: I used it for filming part of a movie 8 Ball Clown and am planning to use it as primary camera for 8 Ball Clown II - I like the quality, not a low light camera, the manual operation takes a bit to get used to but then again all of them do. I bought 2 extra batteries and 128G cards, so I should be able to film quite a bit without stopping. The onboard sound is pretty good - I'm probably adding wireless mics, but its good. I use Bose headphones so I can get better sound and adjust volume. note most of the movie was filmed on a canon t2i - because I just wasn't ready to switch because I had not touched the camera - but I'm more comfortable with it and will practice to get used to it. I did some minor filming for commercials in 4k and that went well - but that was outside in bright light. I will always use a dslr in low low light.I edit in Final Cut - so the video output is easy to bring in and edit - one of the reasons I went with this camera.
