The Countryman E6i Cardioid Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The cardioid version effectively minimizes off-axis feedback and noise from nearby monitor speakers, instruments and noisy sources. Flexible microphone positioning is maintained and the included windscreen minimizes the wind noise often associated with cardioid microphones.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is tan and features a 6-pin Hirose connector for use with Samson wireless transmitters.

A miniature cardioid capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters.

The cardioid polar pattern is effective in minimizing off-axis residual noise from e nearby monitor speakers, instruments and loud sources. The result is increased signal-to-noise ratio and minimal feedback. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning. The E6i is also available in an omnidirectional version for maximum control over wind noise and plosives (popping).

This E6i sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture speaking and vocals without noise and distortion.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this standalone head come with the half ball base or it is flat base only? The half ball base only comes with the Befree live tripod system?

A: The leveling base is part of the tripod, not the head. So you would need to purchase the Befree Live tripod. The head has a flat base.

Q: 2. The Top Knob is called a "Swing Arm LOCK". And yet the one that I just received (Model GH-M1) does not lock at all. If I turn it, the swing arm moves, but I cannot lock the swing arm in place. Is this unit faulty ..i.e should the knob actually lock (and unlock) the swing arm in a given position ?? Any help appreciated. Thnx

A: When using the Magnus GH-M1 Gimbal Head, the Swing Arm Lock is supposed to actually lock the swing. If yours does not lock properly, and you received the Gimbal Head within 30 days, B&H is happy to take it back, with free shipping and replace it. If it is longer than 30 days, the GH-M1 Gimbal Head has a one year warranty, so one would send a note to the manufacturer: info@gradusgroup.com , and they will repair or replace your Swing Arm. Just tell them Lenny Says it's defective.

Q: 3. Is this head compatible with rc2 plates?

A: I highly recommend it!! Dont waste your money on any other brand!!

Q: 4. Will it reduce the power output of the AD200?

A: No power reduction with the AD200.

Q: 5. is BeFree live video head ? will fit on oben Bc-226t

A: Yes, the 3/8"-16 thread on the Manfrotto Befree Live Video Head is compatible with the 3/8"-16 screw on the Oben AT-3585 Folding Aluminum Travel Tripod when removing the Oben BC-226T Ball Head from the tripod.

Q: 6. When I mount a DSLR camera on the QR plate and slide it in place and try to tighten the plate locking handle, the handle runs into the camera body before it tightens all the way. How do I tighten the knob?

A: The knob is spring loaded. Simply pull the knob out and re position for another twist.

Q: 7. Will this work on the AD300 pro?

A: To use the SN-04 Snoot on the AD300 Pro, the Godox AD-AS Adapter for AD300pro, BH # GOADAS would be needed. https://bhpho.to/3kg5TtI

Q: 8. Is this compatible/recommended for use with a monopod (for sports)? Looking for a good set up.

A: Yes, the Magnus GH-M1 Gimbal Head can be used on a Monopod. Would need to be a solid one capable of supporting the weight of the head and the lens.

Q: 9. Two questions: 1) Is this head counterbalanced? 2) Will this be plug and play on a Benro Slim tripod? Thanks in advance.

A: It is not counterbalanced, and yes, as long as it has a 1/4 mounting screw then it will work on your Benro.

Q: 10. Can this head comfortably and safely hold a 70-200mm F2.8 lens about 3.5 pounds in weight + a DSLR camera? Will it be stable or prone to falling?

A: If the baseplate is secured onto the tripod collar of the 70-200mm lens, it will hold, otherwise if baseplate is on body, it'll not. This head does has it's limit. Of course, if you start adding accessories like hotshoe lights, or external monitors, or any additional weight on the camera setup which knocks the weight distribution off, it will not hold.
