A: When using the Magnus GH-M1 Gimbal Head, the Swing Arm Lock is supposed to actually lock the swing. If yours does not lock properly, and you received the Gimbal Head within 30 days, B&H is happy to take it back, with free shipping and replace it. If it is longer than 30 days, the GH-M1 Gimbal Head has a one year warranty, so one would send a note to the manufacturer: info@gradusgroup.com , and they will repair or replace your Swing Arm. A: If the baseplate is secured onto the tripod collar of the 70-200mm lens, it will hold, otherwise if baseplate is on body, it'll not. This head does has it's limit. Of course, if you start adding accessories like hotshoe lights, or external monitors, or any additional weight on the camera setup which knocks the weight distribution off, it will not hold.
