Also, there may be some coloration to the tonal characteristics of the NTG4+ microphone as the battery depletes, where as the NTG4 is receiving constant power thru another source; in your case the Zoom H5. Keep in mind if you are powering the microphone with phantom power by way of the Zoom H5, the battery time usage on the recorder will be affected.
