Q: 8. Will 127 b&w negatives work in the scanner?

A: The Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner comes with film holders designed for use with 35mm film and medium format film (120 or 220 film). 127 film is smaller than 120 film. Epson does not have a film holder designed for 127 film, but you may be able to use the medium format holder for the 127 film, or you may search for a third-party film holder for 127 film compatible for use with the Epson V600.

Q: 9. Can the Epson V600 scan 4x5 negatives if I use a separate LED light panel as a backlight? Will the scanner still operate with the lid open?

A: That will not work, you will certainly not get an acceptable scan with that setup.

Q: 10. How long will it take to scan an black and white 8x10 print at 300 dpi? At 200 dpi?

A: The average time frame to scan an 8x10 print at 300 dpi on the Epson V600 is approxemelty, 30 seconds. But, there are other settings that can make the scan speed longer. There is on information on 200dpi but it should take about 12-18 seconds.

I very seldom made prints bigger than 8x10, but after trying Epson 11x14 paper, I seldom make any thing smaller. 5

We recently started using the Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper for a specific project and its exceeded our expectations. We use a Epson Stylus 289 printer, which is very compatible with this brand of paper. The primary use of the paper is for Tattoo Artist Flash. Flash are the poster like examples you see hanging along Tattoo shop walls. Its use to show the customers what art work is available and allows them to pick and choose the Tattoo art they want the artist to execute. In the past, we printed our Flash on larger format paper and then cut it down to 11 X 14size, which was time consuming and a waste of paper. The Epson Photo Paper provides high quality resolution, stock weight and saves us time and effort. I highly recommend this product. 5
