The Manfrotto 501PL Quick Release Plate is a 3.38" long sliding quick release plate compatible with heads that use the RC5 quick release system. It comes supplied with one 1/4"-20 screw and one 3/8"-16 adapter bushing, and features a location (video) pin.

A: The plate can be tightened onto the camera very securely but if a strap was attached to the metal piece used to tighten the screw it could easily loosen from movement of the strap. I would suggest a camera strap system that also has a wrist strap that can be used.
