Can you tell me the difference between this and the Rokinon version... apart from the $1 price difference!I know it's a different choice of lens options, but is the image quality very different to the Tokina 11-16? I can't find a direct comparison/website that has a review of both (so would run the same tests).

A: Rokinon is the makers' brand (ROK for Republic of Korea), Samyang is a second brand of the same maker. The image quality of both the Samyang 10mm and Tokina 11-16 are very good, though the Tokina lens will give you more versatility if you wanted to have zoom.

A: You receive a limited 1 year warranty that comes directly from Samyang. If you have any issues with the lens, you can reach out to them for a resolution.

Q: 3. I have the CANON EFs24mm STM that I use for Landscapes, is there an major increase in field of view with the 16mm, comparing to the 24mm field of view ?

A: That lens, the EF-S 24mm, is giving you over 38mm on a crop sensor, without knowing field of view, I'm not sure what you would end up with. I'm no expert on this, but I believe Canon always gives focal length in 35mm equivalent. But even at that length, you could use it for astrophotography, less field of view.

Q: 4. On the A6000 or A5100, are there any shadows produced if using pop up flash without tilting the flash while using this lens?

A: Unfortunately, the pop-up flash does cast a shadow in the lower left area of the image. It's less, but still notable, without the lens hood. Also, the flash coverage is narrower than 12mm, so ilumination falls off notably at corners.

Q: 5. Is this an autofocus lenses???

A: It's manual focus only. With this short focal length and high depth of field, you typically put it at infinity (which you have to check by live view zoomed in and not trust the markings on the lens) and don't change the focus during the entire day. Unless you're planning on taking close-ups of course.

Q: 7. Just purchased the Rokinon 16mm F/2.0 with Pentax K mount for my Pentax K-5 IIs body. With the aperture ring set to A, and setting to AV (also B, TAV modes), cannot get F stop to F2 (only goes to F4). Any suggestions? Already have an F4 lens, so getting to F2 is important. Thanks!

A: I believe the lens is defective. I would recommend contacting customer service to get a replacement.

Q: 8. Will this work with a Sony A7RII without any cropping?

A: While this will work with the A7RIII, it covers an APS-C Sensor only. You will only be able to use this lens in a Cropped Sensor Mode with the A7RIII.

Q: 9. Is there any difference between the black and the silver version for the Fuji X mount? Besides the price?

A: There is no difference at all in terms of the functionality. The silver lens goes quite well with my silver Fuji X-E2. Keep in mind that the lens hood for the silver lens is black.
