The AP-S15A 15A Power Conditioner and Distribution Unit from Atlas Sound features noise filtering for unwanted Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) that is commonly introduced into AC lines by nearby radio transmitters or wireless products. EMI filters are also incorporated to reduce noise from Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) generated by items such as electric motors and switching power supplies.

Unstable AC Mains voltage is one of the main reasons for equipment failure. The amount of energy that can be injected into the power system can be immense with voltages reaching 6kV or amperage peaks of 3000A. These spikes are very fast and usually only last for a very short period of time. The AP-S15A's circuitry is fast, can suppress unwanted energy, and sustain the suppression up to 2 milliseconds. The AP-S15A includes a 12' removable IEC cord with retainer.

Got this PDU to upgrade a Bretford computer cart that had only three outlets to move a Dell Precision workstation + 32 4K monitor around the campus. You can never have enough outlets for all your peripherals and this PDU provides plenty. Best part are the two front outlets (though spacing them wider would be nice), wish this was a more common feature in PDUs. The flexible mounting options are a plus (comes with two pairs of mounting tabs - one for flush mount, the other for recessed/elevated mounting). Also appreciate having a dedicated grounding post to allow bonding the entire cart (or server rack) to ground. Minor issue, the six holes on the ends of the PDU for the mounting tabs are not symmetrical/equally spaced, so it makes installing the tabs slightly more complicated than it could be. Not sure if I'll use the cord retention bar which has slots for zip-tying each cord (zip-ties are included), but the bar easily attaches with four small screws and can be adjusted up or down. CyberPower does commit one of my pet peeves - using two different screw sizes (one for the mounting tabs, another for the retention bar) for user-assembled parts when just one size screw would not significantly increase the cost of manufacturing the product as this simplify things for the end user (especially if you end up loosing a screw). 5
