Fitted with a high-performance 3rd generation intensifier, the AstroScope significantly enhances your camera's low-light capabilities.

Your high definition camera can now take on a more valuable role in all your security concerns. While 2nd generation night vision works well in most applications, 3rd generation night vision will out perform it in all situations. With a 3rd generation NVD, your image will be crisper and clearer with a decreased level of bright light blooming. These improvements substantially increase the recognition and detection range of the system.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it made by Hasselblad?

A: The Hasselblad XV Lens Adapter is manufactured by Hasselblad.

Q: 2. Does this adapter change the effective focal length of the V lenses, ie. is an 80 mm V still a "normal" lens?

A: The Hasselblad XV Lens Adapter does not have any optics in the adapter so it does not affect the focal length of the lens. However, since the sensor in the X series cameras is smaller than 120 film. So an 80mm on a Hasselblad X would be closer to what a 100mm lens on the older 500C film camera sees.

Q: 3. Would I be able to use a Voigtlander VM 50 mm / F 1,1 Nokton on my Fuji XT-1 with this adapter? If so, would I retain the metering of the camera or would I effectively have to experiment to find the correct exposure/use a lightmeter? Thanks. :)

A: The Voigtlander VM 50mm f/1.1 is compatible with this adapter on the Fujifilm XT-1. You will retain manual metering.

Q: 4. Does anyone know what the interior diameter is of the speeding opening?

A: aprox 3 1/2 or 3 9/16 to be closer. Hope this helps. Plenty of room for a strobe to fit through if thats what your wondering.

Q: 5. can i use this macro adapter m with len leica summicron 35 asph ??? minimum range focus on summicron 35 asph is 700 mm so with this adapter can i make close focus is shorter than 700 mm ???

A: Yes and yes!

Q: 6. Would this work with a Mirrorless camera? I currently use the Panasonic G85 with a better grip and hot shoe flash

A: You can certainly use this ringflash, Just as long as the hotshoe flash reaches the opening atop the camera, about 6" between top of hotshoe and flash opening.

Q: 7. This seems like it's intended for portraiture, for which I'm nearly always using manual focus lenses. Does this unit make access to the focus ring as difficult as the product photos suggest?

A: Hi Adam, I'm sorry but I will not serve, it is impossible to access the lens to focus. It is a very good product but is made for lenses with autofocusregards

Q: 8. I mounted my m10 with the 90mm APO-Summicron f2 and the macro-adaptor-m on a tripod. I set the aperture to f5.6 and the iso to 100 and the exposure to 1/2 second and took a great image. When I loaded the image into Lightroom and lookedat the info, it showed f22. Does this mean the the effective f number rises dramatically with the use of the adaptor? Does this introduce and optical problems?

A: No, the effective f-number does not rise dramatically with the use of the Leica Macro-Adapter-M. There is no electronic communication between the Leica Macro-Adapter-M and the M-mount camera, and as such, no EXIF data such as aperture setting or focus distance is transmitted between the lens, lens mount, and camera. As such, either no information is listed or a minimum number (such as f/22) would be listed. That being said, this has no effect to the image quality. As there are no optics inside the lens adapter, it does not introduce any optical problems.

Q: 9. Does it reduce the farther end of the focus range? Will the lens still be able to focus to infinity with this adapter on?

A: When using a Macro adapter, such as the Leica Macro-Adapter-M, you will no longer be able to focus to infinity, as the adapter will move the lens further away from the sensor, allowing you to focus closer to objects, but losing the ability to focus on further away objects.

Q: 10. can your flash still meter with ttl or do you have to go manual ?

A: The focus assist will be blocked on your flash. But, TTL goes through the lens, so metering and TTL will still work with the Ringbox.
