Help protect your lens hood from dirt, dust, moisture and bumps with the digital camo LensCoat Hoodie Lens Hood Cover. The small cover will fit a lens hood measuring 3.25 to 3.75" in diameter. Made from neoprene, it provides a thermal barrier, and is easy to install or remove. The Hoodie has a reinforced, removable, front lens element disc made from rigid plastic and foam to protect your glass from damage. Use this made in the USA hoodie to complement the LensCoat cover of the same color on your lens.

Digital Camo is an advanced computer generated camouflage pattern. It is modeled after the U.S. Army's standard-issue ACU pattern to maximize visual break up. The pattern mimics naturally occurring dappled textures and rough boundaries.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this metal or plastic?

A: This hood is plastic.

Q: 2. What I am looking for is a full cap that I can put over the lens hood - not a cap for the lens. Can anyone suggest one that will fit the Olympus LH-48B?

A: I don't see a traditional lens cap staying on the inside of this hood as the edge is smooth. You can try one of those neoprene lens hats from Op/Tech that would stretch over the entire lens hood.

Q: 3. Is the rectangular front lens cap included or is it the thin round one that came with the lens?

A: The lens cap is all one piece and is rectangle in the front.

Q: 4. I have the M.Zuiko 25mm f1.8 and the lens says it is a 46. The spec sheet also says it is a 46. Is this for and older 25? Mine was made 2013.

A: Olympus only has one (1) Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 25mm f/1.8 Lens (Black),B&H # OL2518MB. The above lens does have 46mm front filter threads. The Olympus LH-49B Hood for M.Zuiko Digital 25mm f/1.8 Lens (Black), B&H # OLLH49BB, is the original replacement lens hood designed for use with and included with the purchase of the aforementioned Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 25mm f/1.8 Lens.

Q: 5. I've read that this hood attaches via a thumb screw -- Can it be reversed on the lens for easy storage and if so, is it securely attached in the reverse position or is the screw still required when it's in the reversed position?

A: Yes. The hood can be reversed for the storage. The screw is used to secure the hood in the reverse position. Since the screw does not protrude beyond the outside diameter of the hood, it is not an issue. It can store comfortably in a snug fitting neoprene lens bag.

Q: 6. Can you use a filter between the lens and this hood? If so, does it cause vignetting?

A: Yes, you can place a filter in between without vignetting.

Q: 7. How does the lens hood go onto the lens? I cannot get it to fit at all.

A: You need to remove the ring that is around the front of the lens. Just unscrew it and remove it and the hood will fit just fine.

Q: 8. Will this hood fit Sony DSC-RX10III ?

A: Hi Edward, It is not compatible with DSC-RX10M3. It will only fit the Sony SEL55210 (E 55-210mm F4.5-6.3 OSS) lens. -Jerome

Q: 9. How does this mount? I just got lens and hood, and I see no way to attach the lens hood. I have other hoods so not unfamiliar.

A: The Olympus LH-40B Lens Hood for M.Zuiko Digital 45mm f/1.8 Lens is a dedicated hood and is made specific for the M.Zuiko Digital 45mm f/1.8 Lens. And is a type of bayonet connection.

Q: 10. Will this lens hood fit the Zeiss Distagon 25mm f2?

A: I'm sorry, no, this hood is not compatible with the Distagon 25mm, click the link below to view the correct hood; https://bhpho.to/3lJtS3d

Compared the 400, 500, and 600 and believe this is the most lens for the money. Take some time getting used to hauling it around, but it is truly a masterpiece. I use this lens with a 1.4x t/c and the reach is incredible even with my full-sensor dslr.

I bring it with my d5100 this memorial weekend to chincoteague, and shoot pictures at dawn, sunset, and during the day. The photos are gorgeous. I am happy with the lens and camera.

Great lens for use with landscape and wildlife shots. Very fast focusing and the M/A feature is great, especially for wildlife shots. It is a tad heavy but not objectionably so. I have it paired with the 18-70 Nikon lens and they share filters and it works well with my D7100.

I was quite surprised after viewing the first several photos from the 70-300 lens. IMHO they were tack sharp, and the lens performed great in low light. Don't be fooled by the 2 k $$ hype in glass.... This one will do just fine for most of us.... Great lens..
