The Tiffen 67mm Digital HT 4 Point/2mm Star Effect Filter is a cross screen filter providing 4 reflected light points stemming from specular highlights within the image frame. When the filter is rotated in front of the lens, the points shift in direction but always reflect symmetrically north-south, east-west. This effect is caused by thinly etched lines on one of the planes of the filter. These etched lines are spaced 2mm apart, producing visual depth and separation between light points in the resulting image. Star effect filters are most effective when not used in combination with other filters.

The Digital HT coating is a high transmission multi-coating that surpasses military specifications for hardness and durability. This optical purity combined with high scratch-resistance results in an easy-to-clean filter with superb imaging quality. They also feature low-profile titanium filter rings for increased strength and vignetting reduction.

Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology; a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting to precision metal rings.

Q: 3. does the fuji x 100v do 4k still grab?

A: Yes with the right software you can any 4K frame and edit as a still photo

Q: 4. Is the quality of the shot at the wide angle end (24 mm) very clear?

A: The Nikon COOLPIX P1000 Digital Camera has an amazing (35mm equivalent) 24-3000mm zoom lens--the longest available anywhere. The trade-off is that the lens can't be the sharpest ever. But, the 24mm end of the zoom has more clarity than the 3000mm end.

Q: 5. Would anyone recommend using this to scan negative film? Mainly 35mm. I see that this camera can focus to 4 inches. Would that fill the 35mm frame? I know there are better system to do this, but don't got the time, and I saw someone on YouTube attempting this so had to ask. Thanks!

A: You can certainly use your camera to photograph negatives and reverse the image. Just make sure the negative is flat and that you have an even light source behind it.

Q: 6. At the wide angle end (24mm) are the pictures very clear?

A: Image quality at the wide, 24mm end of the 24-3000mm zoom on the Nikon COOLPIX P1000 Digital Camera has a bit more clarity than at the 3000mm end of the zoom.

Q: 7. Which has the best noise settings feature for a bridge camera the Nikon Cool Pix 1000 or the Sony RX10M4?

A: The P1000 camera has a 1/23" sensor while the RX10 Mk IV has a 1" sensor, so on paper the RX10 Mk IV has far superior low-light sensitivity. However, this comes with a hit to lens focal length; the P1000 has a 24-3000mm lens and the RX10 Mk IV has a 24-600mm. Depending on your subject matter, each camera's mileage may vary.

Q: 8. Is it new new ? or used ?

A: This is a brand new camera. If it were used, it would say "used" and show a condition rating of 7-10.

Q: 9. What is the filter thread size?

A: 77 mm.

Q: 10. What is the battery life while shooting continuous video? Does it vary by video format (4k vs. HD)? What is worst-case battery endurance in continuous video shooting at low temp (e.g. the the rated 0 C minimum)?

A: According to Nikon, the video run time on a fully charged battery is 1 hr and 20 mins. However, the P1000 cannot shoot continuous video internal, so each clip would be limited to 29 mins or when the file reaches 4GB. Furthermore, they state that the battery cannot be used below 32 degrees F (0 degrees C) or above 104 degrees F (40 degrees C) as it may malfunction.
