The Heliopan 72mm Digital UV-IR Cut Filter has been specifically designed for use with digital cameras and blocks UV and infrared radiation in order to achieve greater color separation and more accurate color reproduction. By passing only the visible spectrum, digital capture is more accurate when photographing in artificial lighting conditions.

The front and rear surfaces of the filter both feature a single anti-reflection coating. Each coating helps to increase light transmission by reducing reflections, scattered light, and ghosting. Additionally, they offer protection to the filter substrate while helping to keep the glass clean for longer than uncoated glass.

This Heliopan filter is constructed from Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. It features a brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have a Nikon D700 camera & a Nikon SB700 speed light. Will this work with this camera/flash combination?

A: I have only used on a Canon. It works as advertised.

Q: 2. Is there any way to adapt this to the Sony A7R3 to be able to trigger the Nikon SB200 macro flashes?

A: Unfortunately there is not a way to adapt this for use with Sony multiinterface shoes.

Q: 3. Are the instructions in English?

A: Yes the instructions are in English https://bhpho.to/2W5MFsC.

Q: 4. Does it work with Canon Speedlite 550EX Flash?

A: YES, works with 530EX II and 430 EX II flashes

Q: 5. Can I REMOTELY trigger both the shutter on my Canon R6 and fire the Canon 430EXII flash in Manual mode?

A: As long as you have a separate method to trigger your camera, you will trigger a flash setup using the Vello FWIRC-C FreeWave IR TTL Flash Commander for Canon. The Shutter release remote triggers the camera and the radio trigger in the hot shoe of the Canon R6 will fire any flashes that it has been connected to via the line of site ETTL communication method.

Q: 6. Will this work with Neo Rotolight?

A: According to Rotolight, the Neo 2 does not have IR triggering capabilities, so the Vello FWIRC-C FreeWave IR TTL Flash Commander for Canon will not work with it. Since the Neo 2 has a sync port, it can be connected to and triggered by multiple brands of [radio] transmitter/receiver sets using a PC sync to 3.5mm cable.

Q: 7. have a d5100 and SB600Flash...will this Vello be compatible and trigger the SB600?without an additional receiver?

A: It is compatible with the SB-600. I've never used it with a D5100 so unable to confirm that.

Q: 8. Is there any point in getting this for my Nikon D810? I understand the D810 has commander mode built in, but I am looking for a method to create a stronger infrared signal to read my off camera Speedlights.

A: I don't know if this will get you better range than the built in commander mode, but it does offer other advantages. First, I believe the built in commander uses the pop-up flash to signal the off-camera flashes. Even if you have it set to not contribute to the exposure, it will still probably add noticeable light in some scenarios. The pop-up flash can also cause people to blink. This avoids all of that. You could tape a piece of IR plastic over your pop-up, but this is definitely more professional looking. Last, the UI on this makes it very convenient to make setting changes. Especially if you are not using i-TTL, the UI on this makes it easy to adjust the flash power of each group without having to go through the camera menu. The downside of this is that you have to attach something to your camera while built in commander is, well... built in. In short, I don't know if this will get you better range, but it offers other advantages and conveniences. This does have better range than the Nikon SU-800, and also has a more compact shape. Whether those conveniences are worth the price is a matter of opinion. I got this because my camera body doesn't have built in commander. If my next camera body has built in commander, I will probably still use this. I typically just leave this attached anyway since I don't put my flashes on-camera very often. I am just an amateur, so my use cases differ greatly from a professional.

Q: 9. Does this work on flashpoint 320m?

A: Unfortunately, this commander can only trigger Canon shoe mount flashes with E-TTL.

Q: 10. Does it work with Yongnuo Speedlite YN600EX-RT?

A: Technically it should work. The YN600ex-RT has an Infrared receiver. But the manufactures have not tested there products together.
