A: You have to change another setting to get it to flash. I had the same problem until I found the answer in the manual. It still took some effort because the manual was not that clear.Under Menu select 2 Advance Camera Shooting Options , Anti-Shock/Silent , Silent Mode Setting , Flash Mode , Allow .It took me a long time to figure this one out.
