Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will the Rode VideoMicro Ultracompact Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone work with the FujiFilm x100v?

A: The Fujifilm X100V will work with any battery powered microphone. I am not seeing anything in the Fujifilm X100V manual, nor any forums on the X100V that confirm if it is compatible with microphones that require mic plugin power like the Rode Videomicro.

Q: 2. Would this work with sony a6500?

A: Yes A6500 has same pin/contact set up as A6000 in hot shoe

Q: 3. Will the Rode VideoMicro work with Sony AX1000 video camera?

A: Yes, but your problem will come when you try to mount it into the smart shoe of that camera. The mount is deeper than most, which makes mounting accessories that are not proprietary very difficult if not impossible.

Q: 4. Is this compatible with the Sony FDR-AX100?

A: Yes. The Sony ECM-GZ1M Zoom Microphone for Cameras with Multi-Interface Shoe B&H # SOECMGZ1M is compatible with the Sony FDR-AX100 4K Ultra HD Camcorder BH #SOFDRAX100.

Q: 5. Will it work with Zoom H1/H4n? Rode needs 3 volts. According to the site Zoom plug-In power for condenser microphones is 2.5 volts.

A: The Rode VideoMicro is designed for use with DSLR and other similar cameras that are able to provide the proper voltage required by the mic. The Zoom H1 at 2.5VDC max output is not likely to function with the VideoMicro and would not be recommended. The H4N is able to supply higher plug in power voltage, however has not been tested with this mic, and would be unable to confirm operation with the VideoMicro. In general battery powered microphones are recommended for use with portable recorders.

Q: 6. Does this Mic work well with a Canon SL1? is there electrical feedback?

A: The Canon SL1 is able to power the Rode VideoMicro and will provide a higher quality and more directional capture than available with the cameras built in mic.

Q: 7. No longer have the original packaging for the VideoMicro, how do you find the serial number for warranty registration?

A: Rode microphones have their serial number written on a card included with the packaging. It is not written on the microphone itself.

Q: 8. Will this microphone work with mirrorless cameras, such as the Sony a6300?

A: Yes.

Q: 9. Does it have dual function for making Filmora videos on a laptop as well as with a camera?

A: This mic can be used with a laptop that has a dedicated mic input that passes plugin power. Any camera being used with it would also have to pass plugin power for this mic to work. To work with a laptop that does not have a dedicated mic input, we would recommend a usb interface such as this to make it work, B&H # AUATR2XUSB.

Q: 10. How much power does this microphone consume in 1 hour ? I am going to plug this into my camcorder and plan to record a video for 1 hour with only the battery supplying the power to both devices. My camcorder (Sony HDR CX455) can provide the power to the microphone as the specs says so.Thus, I need to know the answer the question above so that I can use a good battery with high capacity.Thanks.

A: The mic uses very little power, but always use the highest capacity battery you can.

I watch Mainstream tv less and less. They don't offer good entertainment any more.
Roku is my go to for watching.

Roku ultra is the best streaming device on the market. I was very surprised at how fast a different app such as Netflix and Hulu loaded on my new Roku ultra. I have access to so many more things that I like to watch that aren’t on my smart TV. I wouldn’t trade my Roku for anything. I liked it so much I got one for my sister and my daughter. If you’re on the fence about buying one I guarantee you’ll be happy that you did. By the ultra because it’s the best

I bought the Roku Ultra about a month ago. I found that it was very easy to install and use. I can easily navigate or use voice control to find channels, listen on my headphones, and easily add channels.
