The Heliopan 40.5mm Close-Up +3 Lens is a convex diopter designed to decrease the minimum focus distance of any lens in order to produce a shorter working distance for close-up photography. Available in varying strengths, close-up lenses also feature 40.5mm front filter threads for combining two or more filters to fine-tune results.

The front and rear surfaces of the filter both feature a single anti-reflection coating. Each coating helps to increase light transmission by reducing reflections, scattered light, and ghosting. Additionally, they offer protection to the filter substrate while helping to keep the glass clean for longer than uncoated glass.

This Heliopan filter is constructed from Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. It features a brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

A: Yes, because the D3300's built-in flash can't work as a commander for wireless flash.

A: The SX-1 adapter ring threads directly to a lens using the 52 mm filter adapter threads. The 55MM macro lens should work just fine. The 58MM has a 72 MM filter, so that won't work directly. Nikon claims there are adapters for all lenses available.

A: If you do not want to use the SU-800 the next best option is a CLS-compatible speedlight with commander mode to fire the SB-R200 that is in front of the lens.
