Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this work with pocket wizard plus and plus 2?

A: This cable is a stereo cable. If you use it with an older PocketWizard, like a Plus or Plus II, which have mono ports, you will need to use the included MSMM adapter.

Q: 2. Does this transceiver work with the Sigma EF-530 DG Super flash? I assume I would need 2 units. 1 for the camera and one for the flash.

A: To use the Plus X Transceiver with the Sigma EF-530 DG, you would need B&H# PAMHSF1, http://bhpho.to/1cUzBHc.

Q: 3. Can I use a Canon speedlite transmitter attached to a 5d mark II to trigger these units?

A: NO! You can not...Pocket Wizards will sync with all other Pocket Wizards and some older Pocket Wizard receivers built into Profoto flash generators, that's it...

Q: 4. Will this works with older profoto pack with integrated pocketwizard?

A: Yes this unit is backwards compatible with built in Pocket Wizard receivers found in many Profoto power packs or monolights.

Q: 5. I have a Mieke MK580 Speedlite , are these compatible ?

A: My understanding is that they work with everything :)

Q: 6. Can this Pocketwizard PlusX be used with Canon 70D and speedlite 430EXII as both a shutter trigger and also as flash trigger simultaneously and separately?

A: This product is a transceiver. Yes, it can be used as a flash trigger, a remote flash receiver, as a repeater to increase the signal distance or as a transceiver to simultaneously receive a shutter release command and synchronize a remote flash with the shutter. It can function as a flash trigger or shutter release trigger as long as you have 2 units. To trigger the shutter remotely and trigger an off camera flash you will need 3 units.

Q: 7. Can I use canon's 17mm ts-e lens? Is there any problem with the image circle even if it is available? Is the angle of view maintained 17 mm?

A: Yes the Canon 17mm Tilt and Shift lens is compatible with the Cambo ACB-CM Lensplate with Canon EF Bayonet Mount/

Q: 8. Will this work z6ii and sb5000

A: Yes, manually the Pocket Wizard Plus X is compatible with the Nikon Z6 II Mirrorless Cameras and the Nikon SB-5000 AF Speedlights by connecting via PC cable. However, certain camera setting must be selected. For example, turn off the electronic shutter and make sure the hot shoe is activated.

Q: 9. Can you transmit from the camera (with out using the hot shoe) to two off camera flashes? I want to put an on-camera flash on and have the option to use it or not to use it yet have the other two off-camera flashes trigger.

A: As long as your camera has a PC sync port, you could hook up the Plus X to your camera with the included PC cable instead of using Plus X on the hot shoe. If your camera doesnt have a PC sync port, you would need to purchase a hot shoe adapter with a PC connection.

Q: 10. Can i use this on my Nikon D7100, with the second transmitter on my dynalite battery pack, acting as a receiver?

A: If your Dynalite battery pack has a PC sync or household sync terminal designed for use to trigger your light kit, then yes, the PocketWizard Plus X Transceiver can be used on your equipment with the appropriate sync cable. The PocketWizard Plus X will fit into the hot shoe of the Nikon D7100 DSLR camera and would then be able to trigger the lights connected to the second Plus X wirelessly.
