The Countryman Isomax 4RF Gooseneck Microphone improves on a standard that can be found in many boardrooms, schools, courtrooms, meeting halls, etc.

The gooseneck microphone is designed to capture vocals with great clarity and detail while effectively rejecting nearby radio frequency (RF) interference from cell phones, computers and other electrical sources. Active Vibration Isolation uses a separate element to sense noise caused by vibration and shock and eliminates the noise on output.

The microphone itself delivers exceptional quality with a flat 70Hz to 18kHz frequency response and exceptional wind and breath noise reduction. The Isomax 4RF features a standard 3-pin XLR base and is an ideal choice for lectures, depositions, courtroom proceedings, and much more.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. It's compatible for Sony a 7III?

A: Yes it is. This microphone will work with the Sony A7III for Analog Audio through the Multi-Interface Shoe on the camera.

Q: 2. Does it have dual function for making Filmora videos on a laptop as well as with a camera?

A: This mic can be used with a laptop that has a dedicated mic input that passes plugin power. Any camera being used with it would also have to pass plugin power for this mic to work. To work with a laptop that does not have a dedicated mic input, we would recommend a usb interface such as this to make it work, B&H # AUATR2XUSB.

Q: 3. Will this mic work with a dual hot shoe splitter on an a7riii? I want to use it alongside a small video light that has it's own power, so only one side has to be hot for the mic. And does the dual hot shoe need to be specifically for Sony cameras? Thanks for the help.

A: Unfortunately a multi-interface splitter does not exist as far as we have seen. In order to use a microphone along with a light, my best advice would be to select a different microphone that allows a cable to run into the microphone input on the camera. These are two possible microphones that would work in a similar price range. B&H # ROVIDEOMICRO and POSCL1075.

Q: 4. Will this work with an iPhone, using lighting to 3.5mm headphone adapter?

A: Yes, I love the mic. I pair it with my iPhone, gopro, and my canon dslr. For the iPhone I bought a monopod, already had a ball-mount/thread adapter, from B&H purchased a Melamount iPhone case. So the phone gets installed in the case (has 2 1/4 20 thread mounts and 3 mounting spots for the Rode Mic and video light). The case has 2 folding handles; think I paid $35 & shipping. The mic definitely increases the decibels.

Q: 5. Will this work with an iPhone if I first plug it into the Rode AI-Micro? Can I use the cable that comes with the mic or do I have to buy a special cable?

A: The Rode VideoMicro Ultracompact Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone should provide functionality when connected to an iPhone via the Rode AI-Micro Ultracompact 2x2 USB Type-C Audio Interface with Lightning connection implemented.

Q: 6. Is the furry windshield the same as a dead cat?

A: In my opinion yes. Synthetic fur. But more like a dead mouse in size.

Q: 7. Friends, Is this compatible with Canon 60D?

A: Yes. The Canon 60D provides plug-in power so it is compatible.

Q: 8. does this microphone work on the Samsung galaxy s7/s8?

A: The VideoMicro features a standard 3.5mm mic jack that is not directly compatible with smartphones. The optional Rode SC7 cable wiould be required for connection to a smartphone such as the Samsung Galaxy s7 or s8. https://bhpho.to/2kp3VZ8

Q: 9. will it work on a d500 ?

A: The Rode VideoMicro is compatible with the Nikon D500.

Q: 10. would this kit work on a zoom h1 and not need to have editing on the audio where its on both channels?

A: When connected to the Zoom H1, audio will be recorded to both left and right channels and would not require editing in software.
