Use the Softbox III (2 of them) for shooting individuals and small groups indoors - work well, easy to mount on the strobe, appear to be reasonably stable and give a nice quality of light - nice even light. Might not be quite stable enough using outdoors with more than a light breeze.

I am not a professional photographer, however I have learned one thing,The Promax Softbox III by LumiQuest gives me freedom and creativity; plain and simple, this small portable light-diffusing softbox that connect to my SB-900 does a great job softening directional light by scattering it. Really folks that's all there is to tell... It's not very expensive it fits easily into my bag and is a must have for anyone using a speed light. I hope this helps you buy one...I love mine.

The primary reason I purchased this softbox was the rigid sides. On some the less expensive softboxes I have used the sides collapse when the flash gets warm after repeated flashes. Although this one is not intuitive to put on, once on it is rigid and gets the job done. Small and easily portable.

Quick to install, very portable, and great light quality. Also, it does not block sensor on the flash.

I had problems in the past with small portable softboxes being too soft-they collapsed during use. This one is designed so it will stay open even when it gets warm (from multiple flash exposures). It also folds flat for easy storage and traveling.

Great portable Flash Softbox, fits nicely in my camera bag so it is always with me, does a much better job of softing flash with the 8x9 area than the 3x4 Bowtie LumiQuest that I was using. Since I use the Softbox III on a Flash Bracket, it does not block the flash sensor, but might be a concern for direct hotshoe flash applications.

After reading other reviews, I bought the product and was instantly surprised to find it well made; and after trying it on my SB900 and SB800 flashes found it to perform better than promised. This softbox works wonderfully, and the best part is it dazzles the client. No regrets, and if it does fall apart later from good money making use, I'll buy another to replace it.

I use it with a flash bracket and cable. It is fabulous for very difficult lighting conditions outdoors with people, indoors and at night. It stays put so far. I have 2 and use them on cables hands held and on light stands. Top product for get good skin stones and not burning your subject out.
