I've tried several soft-box / flash diffuser devices. While most do an adequate job, they have all had their drawbacks. From awkward attachment to the flash, flimsy construction, storage problems or sensor blockage. This product overcomes all of these. It is constructed of a sturdy yet flexible vinyl material. It stores completely flat, has convenient, Velcro attachment and is designed to mount around the auto flash sensor. I love it!

I received the softbox on Thursday and had to a party to shoot on Friday night. I found that the Softbox improved the quality of the portraits and group shots dramatically and the results were uniformly outstanding. Unlike cheaper units one can find online, this unit was designed so that the strobe's sensing unit will work unimpeded. I would suggest that for any Lumiquest product you purchase either the Cinch strap or Ultrastrap as these products make light modifiers much easier to use and don't require you to put Velcro tabs onto your strobes.

I use this for photographing my grandchildren, as they don't stay still and, therefore, require flash. It softens the light and eleminates shadows on their faces.

I like not only what it does in softening the flash but it is light weight and collapsible for carry in even a small camera bag.

I use the softbox for portrait photography. It's very convenient because of the size and it's ability to attach and detach/compress in size. You can see a significant difference between using the soft box & the flash as is.

This is one of those things that when it's called for there is nothing else that works as good. It does what it claims to do - it softens the flash light so that you don't have hard lines, red eyes, or blacked out backgrounds. Very good for portraits, shooting close up (macro), and when you can't bounce your flash off of walls or ceilings. I would and have recommended it to a friend.

I had a hard time deciding between this and the smaller version, but this is well-designed and doesn't get in the way when I'm sticking my camera close to flowers. It produces a soft light that is ideal for fill in gardens. I strongly recommend buying the cinch strap. So long as you wrap the strap tightly around the flash unit, the softbox will be secure and won't slide.

A must have accessory for evenly lit portraits on the go. It's compact design allows for easy stowing. It's easy on the wallet as well!

I'm a professional photographer and bought this with the intention of using it for indoor shots. I've shot this with just the flash & SoftBox Shoe-Mount and the difference of using this shoe-mount vs. just the flash alone, is amazing. Also, I have used it with the assistance of SoftBox Florescent Lighting (2 qty 500 watt combined) and it did BEAUTIFULLY! The pictures were impeccable and plan on using this from now on. This was a cinch to to put together and break down. It's inexpensive and worth every penny. Whether you're an ameteur, photo hobbist, semi-pro or pro...this is a must have in your photography tool box!

I had purchased another type of softbox before (westscott), and as soon as I took it out of the box, i could tell it wasnt going to work the way I wanted it to. So after doing some research, i saw that a lot of people recommended this softbox and i can see why. The material is strong and durable, not mention sturdy. it is NOT made out of a fabric material, which is what the other softbox i had purchased was made out of. I also love how it folds down so easily, great for storing it in your camera bag.
