A: I wouldn't hang a light from the center of the stand... I would place another stand behind just for the light.

A: It breaks down into its own bag that is small enough to go through.

Q: 3. I am looking at buying this to put a step and repeat banner on. Could a full 12' wide banner fit on the crossbar or should i make it around 11'? Would this handle the weight of a vinyl banner that length and 8 ' Tall?

A: I used a 12' x 8' banner on this stand recently and it worked out very well. I will reiterate what Joseph says, Use weights to keep this thing stable. I suggest the 5lb sand bags sold at B&H. These are cheap and I've got 8 or 10 of these as they come in handy to keep tripods grounded, light stands firmly planted, and backgrounds upright.

Q: 4. Is this a good background support for an open air photo booth?

A: It is a good background support. I have not tried it outside, but the way it is constructed as long as the wind is not blowing your will be fine.

A: Depends on if your lights are made to go on Baby Stands. The Plug on these stands screws off and you can use them like a normal baby light stand, which is what most Arri and Mole lights under 2000 watts are.

A: Yes it will hold this weight but the crossbar it can bow down a little bit

A: No not completely, almost but not quite. I found it not really sufficient for directing small pocket of light for back ground illumination. Using a honey comb grid is much better.

A: It will go as low as 39 and as high as 10.5' and you can lock it anywhere in between.

Q: 9. Are these stands Impact's LS-10ABI 10' light stands? Specs for the kit indicate collapsed length of roughly 40", but the light LS-10ABI collapse to 33.5".

A: The stands in the BGS-S12-V2 are completely different from the Impact LS-10ABI Light Stands.

Q: 10. What is the measurements of circumference and diameter of the base?

A: Not sure. We use a green screen fabric that was 24 by 10 but turned sideways. The crossbar sagged so we returned it. Built a custom support fixed to the wall.
